Mm...LE means uber Secret Specials!!!
The Story
Leonard Shelby was an insurance claims adjuster. One night his wife gets out of bed, goes to the bathroom and is raped and murdured. Leonard gets up, hears whats going on, and rushes in to help her. He gets hit on the head, and suffers some damage. In short, Leonard loses his ability to make any new memories. He knows who he is, all about himself, but he cant make any new memories from after the accident. The police dont do anything about the incident...so Leonard takes it upon himself to find and kill his wife's murderer.
Its your average suspense movie...with a twist. Unfortuneatly, to tell what the twist is would spoil some of the fun...you need to watch it for yourself.
The movie itself is beyond wonderfully awesome. Nothing else ever has been like it. Great stuff here, seriously.
The LE DVD has extras to blow the mind. Director's Commentary, Origanal short story, 2 viewing modes (normal and...well..you'd have to see). Quizes, games, and tons of other junk that belongs on a 2 Disc DVD set.
So...um...pick it, or the standard DVD or VHS and be wowed by this movie...
10/10 ALl edditions

Memento and Guy Pierce both should have received Acadamy Award nominations last year.

Yes...but Siskel (correct me if I am wrong, he is the alive one, right?) gave it one of his top 3 movies of the year. Now...you may hate their reviews...but to get the top movie critic's choice as movie of the year says a LOT!!!
Mm...I think I need to change the review...make it more like the movie...

Actually, Ebert is the one that is still alive. Funny, I always thought he'd be the first to go.
Momento is a good movie. The only problem with it is that it does not have much replay value, IMO.

Not like there's too much secret about it to give away. A strip known as 'Kevin and Kell' (toonville.cs.com takes you to the menu page) did an entire week's worth of strips in the same format within about a month or so of the movie's release.

You'd be surprised at the number of people that haven't seen the movie nor have any idea what the "hook" is.

Go rent it. And make sure you have nothing going on when you watch it, it will require your undivided attention...
I can't say anymore than that.

You mean I have to think when I watch a movie?
Cool!
I'll have to shake out the couch for loose change for the rental now...

May have to watch it 2 or 3 times to fully understand it...or, read the story. The LE DVD comes with it...and is unlocked the same way as the alternate viewing style...
