This one is simple: trade out the Guass from the original for an Arrow IV.
Fluff: Despite its grand intentions, the Hollander was still considered a failure by many. The original's firepower was just too limited, and the main combat version simply didn't have enough armor. With orders drying up for a still relatively new design, something had to be done or else the company would take a massive financial hit. This version was designed to play into the Hollander's one major asset: its speed. The design's speed, combined with its massive weapons potential, combines in this version to create the lightest artillery mech in the Inner Sphere. It is hoped that this verison will take just enough pressure off of the company for them to retire the other varients of the Hollander with dignity.

It's not totally useless- a Yeoman in the jungle is totally useless.

A Charger CGR-1A1 in mountain terrain is totally useless. A Hollander with ArrowIV battery is actually useful, although I`ll take the Gauss Rifle model every day Nothing like a GR to stiffen your medium lances` firepower when the rest of the mechs are Wolverines, Phoenix Hawks and such.

Wouldn't a UAC10 or an LB-10X be a better weapon on this mech? OR hell even a normal AC10?

It's supposed to serve a purpose as a fast artillery mech Karrigan. _________________ I have the right to remain silent. Anything I say will undoubtedly incriminate me.

I was considering that, but the Arrow IV just makes more sense realistically- almost everything artillery uses it, so the ammo and parts for it are the most common.

I have seen folks try to use the Hollander as an Urbanmech...
Thumper weighs as much as the Gauss rifle and it should be able to carry the same amount of ammo too correct?

I think so- I'll have to check. While the Thumper would look similar physically, the Arrow IV is just the most common- I don't even think that the Thumper is being produced anymore.

It may not be in production anymore...but that wouldn't rule out it showing up in the hands of some one.

Then that would defeat the purpose. The fluff directly states that this is a last-ditch factory variation in an attempt to squueze the last little bit of money from the Hollander before they may be forced to shut the line down.

I understand that. My Variant uses a Clan ERPPC and ER MLs plus Extra DHS. Works OK...

1 of the hollander variants already has a LB-10X. Along with a couple ML's I think
