Possible Turret bug... and a few quick questions

Hey Mordel!

I believe I found a recent bug... or at least I can't seem to get it to work properly.

When adding Turrets to bipedal mechs I cannot seem to keep the check mark on the weapon that I am trying to add into the turret. It seems to add the checkmark and when you hit 'OK' and then the cogwheel to check it its now unchecked. Even printing it as such it doesn't work as advertised. Is their something that I am missing?

Also, I had two quick questions as well.

1) Is their no clan version of the head turret?

2) Any chance of adding any of the gear from the old future war magazines?

Hey Chris, thanks for the bug report and the questions! I love seeing folks use the design utility and run it through its paces! See below for my responses...

You definitely hit a bug, and I reproduced it. It was definitely introduced recently. I've been making a lot of code updates to make it more flexible. I hard-coded a lot of stuff in the early days, but that makes it not very expandable, and a pain to add anything new. This bug was introduced with one of those. I am travelling the next week, but will create a bug report for it and fix it with priority when I return! Keep an eye out in the Announcements forum for when that update is pushed out.

There is no Clan version. TacOps was a tad fuzzy on that as it lists IS/Clan, but that was an error. Interstellar Operations clearly lists the Head Turret as being IS only.

Working towards it. As I said above, the original code had everything hard-coded in. I've been working over the last few months to remove any hard-coded stuff, and allow everything to be configurable. So in the future, and I don't know exactly when, I'll allow for users to add Unofficial equipment and use them in Unofficial designs. Anything in future wars would fall into that category as it is not considered canon equipment.

Hey again Mordel!

Thanks for the update and info on everything. I look forward to any changes and design updates that you can manage to get worked into the program.

I appreciate the quick response as well. The website shows that you put allot of love and effort into this often undervalued niche community.

Honestly, I'm sure I speak for the majority of us whom use your site and wanted to say thank you for all the hard work here. I know many folks in our community have been playing this game for 30+ years and a resource rich website such as this just makes our lives and gaming experience that much more entertaining and easy!
