Not the worst use of XL on a mech. The 38 hex range will get attention.

You mean the original, or this model? XL is never low cost anyway. Not even relatively.

I think he means relative to other designs of the era. For example, you can't compare the cost of a BMW today to the cost of a Model-T back in the day. So looking at the unit list for other 55 ton designs of the Jihad era, it is one of the cheapest!

I know the designs of the post Jihad Era and they all cost way too much. No wonder they can't field an army of any size really. That's why I said that XL is never cheap and not even relatively. Here it at least isn't wasted on nothing at all, but that doesn't make it cheap.
