Overview:
Inspired by my first 'Mech build in MechWarrior Online, nicknamed Bingo and built on the
venerable BJ-1 chassis. I have yet to develop fluff for it.
Capabilities:
I kept the engine stock for simplicity's sake, retained the Jump Jets, and equipped it with
the efficient maximum of Ferro-Fibrous armor and an Endo-Steel chassis. For long and
medium-ranged harassing I upgraded the AC/2's of the original Blackjack to their Rotary
equivalents, equipping each with a ton of ammo. Unfortunately this necessitated the removal
of the arm-mounted medium lasers; however, the torso-mounted pair were upgraded to extended
range models. I also installed double heat sinks rather than singles to help deal with the
heat of firing at maximum output.
Variants:
Originally, I toyed with mounting four ER Small Lasers split between the arms and side
torsos rather than the ER Mediums. Then I realized that, if I were to use this 'Mech on the
tabletop, I would rather keep the enemy at range with the Rotary AC/2's, meaning that ER
Medium Lasers would be more useful in most cases, and I would only lose two points of damage
output in exchange for much greater range on my backup weapons.
