Ok...we now have a third installment of the ever popular cover contest...
So, for all you of an artistic bent (ok...you don't need to be an artist, just need an imagination enough to picture your dream cover in your head and the ability to describe it in a hundred words or less), here's your chance to design the cover for the Field Manual: Mercenaries, Revised...
Contest ends August 19, so you have a little less than 3 weeks to get in your entry...

You know...this reminds me of a situation at work...my second day at the new job, all employees get called in by the HR head and the plant manager...they are told during this meeting that they will be getting a $0.75 an hour raise (which equates to better than $1000 more a year btw), and not only that, but several MONTHS before it should have gone out...
Alot of them have the audacity to complain about it...
FanPro is trying to be active with the fanbase, something that alot of people here always complained about with FASA...and you want to deride them for it?
Why do you even play this game or post here Cadet?

Ruger..because he can. Cadet has the right to his opinion. He is disgusted by what has happened in the past and its jaded his views of things. Hopefully in 6 days he'll find faith in this again.... I hope he and Vampire, and the rest of the Fans do... Besides.. after Oper.. Project Phoenix nothing will matter anyway...

I'm not deriding them. I just don't get excited by a contest like this. I don't care. More power to them that they are more fan-friendly, but again, I didn't get worked up about anything FanPro has done like this.
On that note, there are some people out there will get more than excited about that. [TEXT EDITED]

I play the game because I enjoy it. I post here for the same reason. Neither of those reasons are going to make me just dance in the streets over every little thing FASA, WizKids, or FanPro does.

So far I'm not in the least bit impressed by WizKids direction, and for all of FanPros efforts, I'm not confident in their abilities either. I hope they can pull it off though.
And a few things matter to me more than this game, even in 6 days.

What ever happened to the "design a t-shirt for Mordel's webiste" contest? Just because you have a newborn to take care of doesn't mean everything else get's thrown to the wayside.
