Variants:
Although the Cyclops is a BattleMech long known on the battlefields of the Inner Sphere, few
remember that the machine seen in combat during most of the Succession Wars only outwardly
resembles the formidable command unit it once was. When first designed, the Cyclops bore
many examples of the finest technology the Star League had to offer. Its endo-steel frame
provided the chassis on which was mounted some of the most advanced tech of its day. The
extra-light type 360 fusion core could drive it up to 64 kph at a run, and yet was still
light enough that it could mount 17 tons of armor plating, and a weapons package that massed
some 40 tons. Each arm carried an extended-range heavy laser, while the right torso packed a
massive, heavy hitting gauss rifle. Opposite the formidable weapon was set a launcher for a
ten pack of long-range missiles that was tied into an Artemis IV fire control system, and
the center torso possessed a pair of Streak-enhanced dual short range missile launchers. The
gauss rifle carried three tons of ammunition, while there were two tons of long range
missile ammo, and the Streaks are so ammo efficient that a single ton of ammunition is
sufficient for many battles for both launchers. All of this ammunition and the gauss rifle
are protected by CASE protective systems. Combining all this with its Tacticon B-2000 battle
computer, the Cyclops quickly became a favored ride for many in upper leadership roles
within the SLDF.

And it’s still a WYSIWG for the CIKS (or original IWM) miniature if you play that way.

If I were to use, say... a paper clip, what weaponry would I have then? _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I would say it could be whatever variant you wanted.
Of course, same applies no matter what, unless you’re at a table that enforces WYSIWYG.
