Capabilities:
Built as a competitor to the 9M model Awesome, the Thunderhead boasts a number of features
that, for a competitive pricetag, allow for greater defensive capabilities in the face of
the newly-introduced Clan Battle Armor. With three Diverse Optics Type-10P Small Pulse
Lasers mounted in the head and center torso and two Anti-Battle Armor Pods in the legs, the
Thunderhead is well-placed to lay waste to any ill-conceived infantry assault. With two
Defiance Razorback Anti-Missile Systems mounted on the right torso and each fed by
CASE-protected one-ton bins, the Thunderhead is capable of comprehensively shielding itself
and the rest of its lance from missile barrages. Fifteen tons of armor render the design an
armored brick against 'Mech-scale direct fire, while three Donal Type II Particle Projection
Cannons and four Defiance C9M Extended-Range Medium Lasers permit the 'Mech to deliver a
scathing retort in turn. Sixteen double heat sinks permit the design to stay cool in the
face of anything short of a full alpha strike.
