Overview:
    Produced in the same year as the 8M the 8M2 would take the 7M and turn it into an
    anti-aircraft platform replacing the gauss weaponry with two Clan-Tech LB-10X auto-cannons.
    While its compliment of er-mediums lasers would be upgraded to clan-grade quality. An IS
    targeting computer would be added as well to assist the 8M2 in hunting down its prey.
    Instead of opting to produce a new skeletal frame for the mech the design team for the 8M2
    would instead keep the originally designed endo-steel frame and opt to install a lighter
    (and cheaper) VOX 260 XL engine. While the 8M2 would still retain a top speed of 64 km/h the
    alterations would drop the total weight of the mech, to 65tons, joining the rare club of
    mechs that straddle across multiple weight classes.
