================================================================================================
Overview:
The B (Ballistics) 1 (Thumper) configuration of the Drudge is an odd case of one of the
original main configurations being almost completely phased out. Not because it failed at
its purpose but because a much better solution was adopted.
Capabilities:
Twin Thumper artillery systems is the name of the game for this configuration. 6 ton of ammo
supply these systems for prolonged fire missions often with a variety of munitions to choose
from. Backing up the artillery is a group of ER medium lasers augmented with a targeting
computer, and a TAG so the Drudge can self support copperhead strikes. A single jump jet
allows this configuration to deploy with other Drop units, though does little else useful
once grounded.
Variants:
Yes Arrow IV could be used. So could Snipers. And in general they're not. The Thumper has
the advantage in range over both systems as well as in maximum potential damage per ton of
ammo. And it's cheaper. Overall we've decided it's the system to use for general purposes,
and we've yet to encounter anyone capable of convincing us otherwise.
In other variants of course there are other B type configurations. As a theme They're
either going to be twin large guns in a fire support role, or a single large gun with
significant secondary weapons usually tending towards more of a brawler role. Notable
configurations will be covered later.

This Mech would possibly be better as a Super-Heavy. You can duplicate this Mech with a 105t Super-Heavy using a LFE and ES. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

I have super heavy designs. I tend not to use them because they have terrible strategic mobility. No super heavy mech bays, no super heavy jump jets to facilitate hot drops. Plus that super heavy chassis you suggest nets you 1 extra ton. And increaes the cost by 3million bills. Not worth it for me.
