Attempting to make a protomech with 3 SRM-1's and a total of 30 reloads. And then the issues start up
A: each shot of ammo must be added individually. Thus "add equipment" 30 times in a row.
I recommend borrowing from the extra pop up that shows up when you add cargo space that wants to know how many tons of cargo you want to add.
B: Each shot is trying to act like a single item for purposes of critical space. Since there is not enough space on a protomech to do that, it breaks my ability to post since the design can't be saved.
In this case, ammo doesn't actually take up space. It just exists in the protomech.
And now tangential thoughts.
Protomechs and vehicles. Automatic heat sink allocation.
Aerospace, small craft, dropships, Battle Armor. Support vehicles
I would like to be able to post these soneday.

This will be fixed in the next release, likely in a couple of weeks.

I actually don't like automatic heat sink allocation; I know MML does this. Maybe it's a personal preference, but I believe knowing exactly what you need to make a unit heat-neutral is important.

It's on my list as well, and will be forthcoming. Most likely will be doing Support Vehicles once all the CV features are complete. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I disagree. I figure that since there is zero choice here it may as well be automated for convenience. Otherwise it's the same as asking us to figure out the tonnage of all the other parts. Which admittedly would make programing easy on your part, but would result in custom atlases with 17 ton engines. Because reasons.

I can definitely understand your viewpoint. I actually have had folks who intentionally added more heat sink then the unit needed; and yes, it was intentional due to the units use-case. With that in mind, what if there is an option to automatically add needed heat sinks? It can be the default option, but users can select to manually add heat sinks if they desire to be able to add more than is required.
Would that be a good compromise? _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

More then works for me.
I'm more in the opposite and evil camp. Make a ppc carrier with 7 ppcs because no one is stopping me. Even have the beginnings of fluff for it percolating.
