Overview:
In lore fluff, something something Scorpion Empire.
Real fluff. Saw the Ram plate. And combined it with older 80 ton 5/8(13) ram bot concepts.
Capabilities:
153 points of damage in a best case scenerio.
So long as the spikes last, when combined with ferro-lamelor armor, it doesn't take damage
when it hits with a charge. It's a good combo.
Variants:
There is an interface cockpit variant. Allows the installation of an ERLL and a turret
which at least improves its ability to poke at targets while it lines up a charge.
Notable MechWarriors:
So not this mech, but I got an honorable mention story involving the charging Celerity.
Had a few of them to use up the last bits of BV allowed for this game. In any case, managed
to slam one of the hyper sonic crowbars into a hunchback. Who proceeded to take a good
chunk of damage. And then fly off a cliff. Into some water. We never saw that guy again.
Opponents got real careful to stay out of my bubble after that. Which is fine since like
90% of my BV budget was devoted to a pair of clan Sniper type assault mechs.
But the charge bots accounted for several more light mechs and almost another heavy but a
last second lucky shot prevented the charge that would of pushed the target off the map.
By that point my antics had turned a paired set of 1 on 1 matches into a 3 on 1 fight. I
was still winning when tine was called.
