Overview:
    The Ceraptor is the slowest combat functional LAM kept in inventory.  It's also the most
    widely used.  While faster LAMs can be utilized, they do so with a sharp decline in combat
    power projection.  Sometimes it's better to say "fast enough" and focus on bringing more
    guns to the fight.

Capabilities:
    The CPT-1 is a conservative balance between survivability and Striking power.  Close range
    weapons offer more punch,  but will expose the Ceraptor to excessive return fire.  Long
    range weapons offer more survability, but unless you switch to mech mode, the accuracy
    penalties negate any real damage potential.
    
    Snub nosed PPCs were chosen as a good compromise.  Exceptional short range capabilities
    keeps the Ceraptor away from harm, while still being accurate enough to use Airmech mode to
    its fullest.  Accepting a Striker based combat style, a degree of overheating in favor of
    higher damage output was acceptable.   Thus PPC capacitors are used for enhanced lethality.

Variants:
    The advantage of such a high degree of standardization in the frame is that it's remarkably
    easy to draw up and refine new variants.   Even if true omni technology is a bit too dicey
    to integrate into a LAM, and field modifications are made at your own risk,  retooling the
    production facility is a relatively minor task.  And techniques used to keep an Omni-mechs
    gyro balanced can be borrowed to account for carrying mass distributions.
