==Overview:==
     Little is known about this mech, except that it seems to be highly gea
for the Solaris arena's. 

==Capabilities:==
     Equiped with a powerfull Light Fussion Engine this assult mech carries
very unique array of weapons and equipment. Seeing at its designed for the 
arena, it equiped with everything nessacary to turn the destruction an 
unsuspecting mech into truely an art form.

    The primary weapons are true to the arena nature of this mech, consisti
of twin hatchets, one in each arm, coupled with the davion developed TSM. D
the need the nature of TSM the designers figured the heat stresses of every
componet to allow the pilot to quickly and easily ingage his mechs main 
advantage.

     This unique dance is aided by the array of weapons built into the chas
These begin with twin streak srm 4's, which some will point out as unreliab
for the pourpose of heating the TSM. This is why a quad array of medium las
a mounted beside the launchers, along with a tri array of small lasers. A h
monitoring computer helps to take out the guess work by offering a suggeste
choice of weapons.

     Last on the weapons selections are three machine guns. This is most 
unusual for such a design, as it will never see action against infintry. Al
these weapons are tied into the newly designed targeting computer, making t
all deadly. all weapon ammo are protected by CASE.

    All of this is protected by a 14 ton armor shell.  After consideration,
this a mech that will find many a fearfull opponets in the arena's.

Would be great in the Arenas...but I pity the man who tries to take that straight into battle in an open field. Still, a 'Mech designed for a purpose, and a good one at that. I like the Light Engine.

The Arena mechs could be even better suited for it than they are...If you use the rules from the Solaris VII box, machine guns are all you really need in the arena.

AIM HIGH! AIM HIGH!

Nothing worse than seeing a group member killed after 2 round becasue the mech hes facing in the Solaris Arena mounts 12 fricken maching guns.

Yep- especially if you have several of them like the Paladin has (7 in the left arm).

A few years back, I made a machine similar to this one- It had endo instead of the light engine. The left arm had six machine guns, the right arm had four Streak 2s, and there was three mediums in the torso as backup. Can the Gil be modified into that, VB?

probebly, but you'll be taking a very big change in the layout. with the twin hatchets [i picture them kinda like scimitars] and tsm the arms are packed. but ya, it could be moded to that layout.
