Variants:
Much like the WHM-7H Warhammer, the ARC-6H Archer is a product of Hadrian Mechaized
Industries diversifying its product line and implementing production of BattleMechs to
enrich the Marian Hegemony. In this case, not much was really changed on the BattleMech, and
yet, it has become a much more capable combatant, especially in close-range combat. A small
sacrifice in the amount of armor protection was made to this model, but this was partially
offset by the inclusion of heavy ferro-fibrous armor plating, along with CASE systems to
protect the missile munitions from explosions. The 20 racks of long-range missiles were
switched out to smaller, more compact 15 packs, but the two tons of reloads per launcher
were retained. To ensure the overall amount of long-range missiles was not decreased, the
tonnage freed was used to include 5 packs of multi-missile launch racks fed from three tons
of reloads allowing a vsriety of missile storage, including both long-range and short-range
missiles can be carried at the same time. The arm-mounted lasers were switched for
extended-range versions, as were the rear-facing ones, but the latter were downgraded from
medium-type lasers to light lasers.
