Overview:
    The Brigand "Jack of Clubs" JST-5C is a lethal evolution in Simon "Jester" Adams’ "Card
    Deck of Chaos," bringing a swift, versatile striker to the Reavers’ elite lance with a
    blend of reconnaissance, ranged precision, and melee brutality. This custom refit of the
    Brigand chassis, originally a Vengeance Incorporated design, fuses Inner Sphere ingenuity
    with Clan technology, reflecting Jester’s flair for chaos and psychological warfare.
    Forged from the spoils of the 3099 Clan Sea Fox convoy ambush in the Tortuga Veil, the "Jack
    of Clubs" features a Clan Sea Fox 150 XL engine, six Clan Standard 14X Series Jump Jets, and
    four Clan Diamond Shark ER Medium Lasers, enhanced by a Clan Active Probe and Advanced
    Targeting Computer for surgical strikes—a testament to Jester’s Called Shot mastery. The
    signature Mace, a 3-ton melee weapon, delivers a 5-point strike (25 tons x 0.2), its spiked
    head a brutal emblem of the Reavers’ dominance. Painted in a bold green-and-black scheme
    with a club-crowned skull on its torso, this ’Mech terrorizes foes across the Detroit
    frontier’s asteroid colonies and the Tortuga Veil’s chaotic nebulae, embodying the
    Reavers’ relentless defiance of Canopian rule.

Capabilities:
    Powered by a Clan Sea Fox 150 XL engine, the "Jack of Clubs" achieves a base speed of 64.8
    kph walking and 97.2 kph running, boosted to 118.8 kph when its Triple-Strength Myomer (TSM)
    activates under heat buildup (+2 MP at 9+ heat). Six Clan Standard 14X Series Jump Jets
    provide a 180-meter jump range, enabling agile leaps through the Detroit frontier’s
    asteroid fields or the Veil’s treacherous terrain. Its armament delivers a 28-point alpha
    strike from four Clan Diamond Shark ER Medium Lasers (range 15 hexes, 7 damage each), all
    linked to a 1-ton Advanced Targeting Computer (+2 to-hit bonus), ensuring devastating
    precision. A Clan Active Probe (1 ton, range 5 hexes) enhances its scouting role, detecting
    hidden units and ambushes, a critical advantage in the Veil’s nebulae or frontier’s
    debris. The Mace, mounted in the left arm, adds a 5-point melee strike, perfect for
    close-range devastation after a jump assault. Ten Clan Double Heat Sinks dissipate 20 heat
    against the 28 generated by a full alpha (net +8, or +11 with jumping), with TSM kicking in
    at +9 heat for enhanced speed and melee power. Protected by 4.5 tons of Clan Ferro-Fibrous
    armor (85 points), it balances durability with mobility, while the small cockpit saves
    weight at the cost of pilot vulnerability—a risk Jester’s elite embrace.

Deployment:
    The Brigand "Jack of Clubs" JST-5C is a prized addition to Jester’s inner circle, deployed
    alongside the "Jester's Gambit," "Queen of Spades," "King of Hearts," and "Ace of Diamonds"
    to complete the Reavers’ card-deck lance. Constructed in Detroit Consolidated MechWorks’
    clandestine asteroid workshops in the Detroit frontier, with final refinements at Vengeance
    Incorporated’s Tortuga Prime base, it incorporates Clan salvage from the 3099 Sea Fox
    convoy raid. The ’Mech excels in rapid strikes and ambushes, using its jump jets and
    Active Probe to uncover hidden foes, while its ER Medium Lasers and Mace dismantle targets
    with precision and force. Its debut in a 3100 raid on a Canopian mining outpost near Detroit
    saw it leap into a Magistracy scout lance, using its Active Probe to reveal a concealed Wasp
    before shredding its torso with a laser salvo, then finishing it with a Mace strike to the
    head. Jester often pairs it with the "Ace of Diamonds" for scout-strike missions, guiding
    the "Queen of Spades" and "King of Hearts" with intel, while the "Jester’s Gambit" anchors
    the assault. A handful of Reaver scouts have fielded refitted versions, though none match
    the "Jack’s" pristine Clan components or green-and-black livery, a taunting symbol of the
    Reavers’ chaos.

Variants:
    As a bespoke design, the "Jack of Clubs" has no official variants, but Jester’s engineers
    have speculated on adaptations to suit evolving needs:
    
    JST-5C-A: A melee-focused variant could replace two ER Medium Lasers with a Clan Small Pulse
    Laser (1 ton) and an additional Double Heat Sink (1 ton) to support TSM, retaining the jump
    jets and Mace. This would adjust BV to ~1,570, enhancing close-range combat while
    maintaining scouting.
    
    JST-5C-B: A recon variant might swap one ER Medium Laser for a Beagle Active Probe (1.5
    tons) and add 0.5 tons of armor (11 points), dropping one jump jet. This would raise BV to
    ~1,580, boosting detection range but reducing mobility.

Notable MechWarriors:
    "Club" Rhea Solaris: A 28-year-old Reaver scout and Jester’s lead recon specialist, Rhea
    pilots the "Jack of Clubs" with a Piloting skill of 3, Gunnery of 2, and Tactics of 4. A
    former Solaris VII arena fighter turned pirate, her expertise in evasion and battlefield
    awareness shaped the ’Mech’s design. Rhea’s precision—boosted by the Advanced
    Targeting Computer (+2 to-hit)—shone in the 3100 Canopian raid, where she uncovered a
    hidden Wasp with the Active Probe, then shredded its torso with ER Medium Lasers before
    crushing its cockpit with the Mace. Her green-and-black ’Mech, marked with a club-crowned
    skull, is a beacon for Jester’s scouts, often leading recon missions in the Tortuga Veil.
    
    "Knave" Tasha Voss: A 27-year-old Reaver scout, Voss briefly piloted a refitted JST-5C
    during a 3101 raid on the Haven Star Cluster. With Piloting 3 and Gunnery 3, she used its
    jump jets to leap through nebulae, spotting a concealed Falcon with the Active Probe before
    disabling its leg with an ER Medium Laser barrage, followed by a Mace strike. Her success
    earned her a permanent role in Jester’s elite, though she often rotates to her "Ace of
    Diamonds."
