Overview:
The prime follows in the footsteps of the historic Blackjack. Perhaps a bit too well. The
extreme range of the cannons is nice, but their stopping power is little better then the
original AC-2 armed Blackjack.
Capabilities:
Quad LB-2x autocannons gives this mech the ability to reach out and touch targets beyond
almost all conventional ranges. Between the cluster munitions and the AES accuracy as such
ranges isnt terrible either. Effect on target on the other hand is questionable.
Uninterrupted fire is only expected from 10 to 20 seconds before cavalry forces enter
conventional engagement ranges. Against a mech such fire is expected to be only marginal.
But, against conventional forces such fire can be disabling, especially against VTOLs.
Once normal combat ranges are entered, a completely conventional ER Medium laser array
provides effective if not particularly impressive firepower.
Notable MechWarriors:
Upon introduction to the touman, the Slungshot quickly aquired a nickname as the Slugshit.
Even second line freeborn mech warriors disapprove of being given such a slow mech.
