Are they official BT ones? In the right scale? They look to be made from the same material as the Plastech 'mechs.

Or are these just weird Macross/Robotech/Whatever models?

Thanks in advance,
jymset

If I understand your question your asking which the mecha are?

If so...

(Hope I get this right - please feel free to critize)

1st Set: Battlemaster/Battlemaster/Rifleman
2nd Set: Wasp/Wasp/Wasp/Wasp (I think)
3rd Set: Warhammer/Maurader/Valkyre
4th Set: Valkyre/Valkyre (I think)

All seem to be a little out of scale with each other. As to weither these are model kits or plastech sets I can't really tell from these pictures.

To be honest I used the BT names for these units but I think they are probably presented here from the RoboTech/Macross series. If you look at the weapon held by the Valkyre/Wasp it is the slug thrower used in RoboTech.

To clarify, my main question is about the origin of the models: BT or non-BT? As to the types my guess is:

Shadowhawk, Griffin, Rifleman

Wasp, Wasp, Stinger, Wasp

Warhammer, Marauder, Phoenix Hawk

Crusader, Phoenix Hawk

I just bid for the above - I reckon it's worth it, even if they aren't BT-official. Could you please still try to confirm this?

And please have the good grace not to bid against me!!

Considering that...to my knowledge...minis, especially plastic ones, of these particular 'Mechs were never made in these poses, nor did they ever look quite like these (although the Marauder does look like the original BattleDroids version...kind of), I'd say these are resin ones someone handmade...

I was about to say.....

They sure do not look like any poses I have ever seen on the Btech minis. And if memory serves. The Rifleman mini does not have that airfoil looking thing on it's head. But it has been awhile since I have seen the mini. Or even a pic of one.

There is a good chance that they are homemade. But a dam fine job of them though.

Didn't the orginal plastic minis have a thicker base then those?

Actually, it does...that's part of the D2j targeting system...it's a rotating radar array...

A silly question. Have you asked the seller what size exactly are they?? you should confirm that they are the same size as Battletech minis.

I agree that they are resin castings, but I have the feeling that they have been done from some model kits that I've seen that are double the size of 'Mech minis.

Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware)

They're handmade. And some of them are *not* BTech minis, per se. I've seen it done before that a person has gone to the old Robotech manuals in order to get the dimensions for scale of the mecha, resulting in disproportionate units. That Marauder should not be that big in comparison with the Warhammer; they should be roughly the same size. And That Rifleman should be just a little bit bigger.

Whoever made those did a damn fine job of it, but it's obvious that they weren't looking at BTech minis when they did it.

I think that they are based on Robotech/Macross too. I'm looking at a pic of the Rifleman (Have an original 3050 TRO)and I can't see the little radar thingie.

Another thing is that they are ALL unseen type. I'd say they are Macross/Robotech.

The Shadow Hawk and Griffen are from a different series entitled 'Fang of the Sun Dougram.' They do appear to be based off of action figures or models, tho.

BTW, take a good hard look at the left arm of the Warhammer (third image, left). You can see daylight through the elbow assembly. That's exactly the situation with the action figure of it that I have. Ask the seller. The tallest minis I've seen are roughly 3.5 inches high (and among those are the Berserker, depending on pose).
