As much as I like the Shadow Hawk, I find that the unit's heavy dependence on ammo can hinder it during extended operations and that the positioning of the Streak ammo in the center torso makes for a rather ugly hazard. As such, I took the 5M model and altered it in a way similar to the original Kurita version of the model- trading out the Autocannon for a PPC, an extra medium laser, and max armor. This also allowed for the Streak ammo to be moved into the side torso where there is a CASE housing for it.

I gave it the Davion designator as the unit I initially designed it for was Davion.

I think I would rather have a smaller LRM launcher with a bit more ammo...could also put a couple more tons towards upgrade the streak as well.

This design as you currently have it has much more of a K variant upgrade than a D.

For salvage reasons (CASE stops it from being totaled, even though it will be disabled) and to ensure the pilot survives (in case auto-eject is off for some reason).

Pilot survives anyways. Damage doesn't transfer that direction... EVER.

You complain about ammo concerns, then only give it six rounds of LRM ammo?

Also, I have doubts about the need for XL just to carry an LRM-20. A pair of -5's, while a lot less punch, would let you drop back down to a standard engine, with much less concern for ammo.

Why is it L3? Or was that a typo?

The ShadowHawk sucks, so just about any change is an improvement. Yours is pretty good, and I like how you dropped the AC for the PPC. I don't like that it still has just 6 shots for the LRM20. That was always a waste IMO.

When I first went to do this I accidently set it to L3 instead of L2. I didn't catch it until it was too late to do anything about it, which is why it says L3.

As far as the LRMs go, I agree that just that limited number of shots is a bit of a waste for a system so large. I could theoretically use a different missile system (SRM or possibly MRM) in its place, but I'd be trading off range for punch and more shots.

As far as the PPC- the one thing that bugged me about the SHD was that even though it was designed for long missions it had only one weapon that didn't need ammo and it was mounted in a limb. Hence, I preferred the Kuritan version a little more.

If you want to keep the hitting power and increase the ammo supply with out giving up other equipment replacethe LRM-20 with four LRM-5s you gain 2 tons and some redundancy at the cost of two points of heat

You might want to replace the LRM 20 with a LRM 15 and an Artemis system. This allows for more ammo to be carried and has a similar average damage.
