==Overview:==
This unusual design has recently appeared for field testing with Clan
Wolf-in-Exhile. Currently dubbed the Command Wolf, the unit represents a
mobile command and electronics platform.
The entire electronics arsenal consists of three devices: a C3 command
system, an Angel ECM suite, and a Bloodhound probe. In and of themselves,
these units represent a formidible array of electronics.
To help the unit defend itself, it was given an ER Large Laser and an ER
Medium Laser, both on a turret mount. For a mech this size, it seems like
light armament; however, as this is a C3 mech, the weapons load is adequate
for the job. If the pilot must engage in direct combat, the pilot must instead
use the unit's speed to get into sniping position and the unit's armor and ECM
gear to help it do so.

One Major problem with this design the clans will never use a C3 Zillbregin is very deeply ingrained into the clan psyche and even though they have been exposed to inner sphere thinking and will on occasion use multiple attacks they would not design a mech specifically for group attacks

the clans can still use this technology to increase the odds of hitting.
example: 5 mechs are facing 5 other mechs. clans will engage 1 v 1 quaff. a c3 mech gets to within 7 hexes of its partners target even thou that mech is not his target. now if this mech was long range slugging then he just benafited WITHOUT the direct involvement of its allie.
i see no reason that the clans would disallow such an efficent means of combat [like the TC and EI] on means of being dishonorable.

So on the same premises the artillery spotter isn't actually attacking the target? Killing him would, in fact, be wrong since he's not an active combattant? I don't buy it.
C3 is not a passive system IMO. Helping someone else with it is certainly taking part in the attack. Even if you don't shoot you're harming the opponent.

Nightmare is correct providing C3 link is aiding and thus violates Zillbregin

Would it help matters if I said that the Kell Hounds had more interest in the unit than WiE?

Why would WIE not adopt Inner Sphere combat practices? Clan Wolf has always been liberal vis a vis zellbringen; additionally they are under the command of Phelan Kell.

True that is why they were the MOST successful of the invading clans. They adapted IS practices. I think if you saw this mech it would be rare in WiE forces and semi common in Kell units.
