Collectible Miniatures Game manufacturers WizKids have announced that several figures from the inaugural Marvel HeroClix release, Infinity Challenge, will be retired from open tournament play following the debut of the newest expansion, Universe.

Before Marvel HeroClix: Universe becomes tournament legal on June 2nd, 2004, WizKids will release a "Rosetta stone" document with corresponding figure numbers between Universe and Infinity Challenge to help easily identify which Infinity Challenge pieces players can use in the Open HeroClix format.
fortunately I have no interest in participating in tournaments. I collect them only to play with my family and friends and to just...well...collect!
