Just tossing this out for anyone whos interested.
www.nightmarearmor.com
Looks like the Grey Death Legion Scout Armor.
and, yes, I have considered a suit of this for paintball scenario games. It only weighs about 30 pounds, but the helmet alone costs $499 plus shipping.
Oh well. When I win the lottery.....

Gimme, Gimme, Gimme!!!! I wonder how tall they make these suits? Do you know the price for the complete package? Doesn't the mask look like the Dye Nvision? or maybe a Proteus?

Cool suits!

Cool, Expensive and created by people that have WAAYY too much free time on their hands. I did not see a complete price list when I looked in there.

Want to freak the neighbors out? Mow your lawn wearing one of those suits. especially the one with the glowing eyes.

Actually, HR, I sent them an email, and it says that the lens is lexan and will stop paintballs. Ill stick with my trusty JT, though.
I was thinking more along the lines of a scenario game. And from what I can tell from the literature, the suits are a 'one size fits all' design. Immagine CanCon showing up to the LI Big Game decked out in these mothers.....
They are fairly bulky and heavy, though, anywhere from 40-50 pounds apeice.

That is lighter than most of the armor worn by SCA heavy fighters (medieval style combat). I know several that have 60-70 lb suits that they run in.

Yah Baby! Red and black battle armor. That will definitely create an impression. You are right about the lens. Unless tested and verified that it will stop paintballs, I would be a little cautious about stepping out in the middle of a "spray and pray" in one of those.

Does anyone know the cost of the full Halo suit?

The phrase "If you have to ask, you cant afford it" comes to mind.
Youll have to email them. They look good, but they really lack the pricing on some of the pages.
I wonder if the L.I. Game people would discount armor hits if you wore one of them?

lol...soemhow I don't think so. Otherwise I would buy one just to lead frontal assaults on objectives. Then my jersey handle, Panzer, would definitely right true. I could be the human tank.

I am going to email them this weekend to get a cost for an entire suit. Curiousity has me by the nads...must obey!

I have had no qualms using Lexan as a replacement lens for my mask. Just hard to form to match without scratching it.
And I've had my mask lens shattered by a paintball before. Dude was shooting way too hard on his velocity too. He caught me with three hits. One to my forehead(left a hell of a bump there, one on my mask(shattered my lens), and one to my adam's apple(hurt more than almost anything so far in my life and I couldn't talk for 2 and a half weeks. He had just upped his bolt and springs and hadn't rechecked his velocity. Dork.

oooo, that smarts, Seraph.
Saw a guy in a tourney get bunkered on the neck. Black bruise the size of a baseball with a bleeding welt in the center.
I would definitely want to put the helmet on a post and point-blank the lens before I would consider wearing it on the field. If it can stand up to 300 fps from 6 inches, then it should be okay.

Hey, H~R, gimme a note when you get a price for these things. Not that I can afford one, mind you, Id just like to know.
