The Highlander has been a tried a true design through out the centurys,

And the Highlander IIC has been a proud addtion to the line. But as the weapons on the battlefield advance. So must the mech that carry them. To this end, Clan Star Adder took this design and brought into the modern day field of combat.

The Highlander IIIC. Still retains many features that made the past designs popular. Keeping the standard engine. The medium pluse laser. and the SRM 6 streaks. Which made for a excellent close in fighter. But removing the LRM 20 ART. in favor of the new ATM 12. And added more long range firepower with a ER large and ER mediums

But the changes are not just on the surface. The stucture in now endo steel. which allowed more heat sinks.

Although this mech is stated for garrison duty. It should prove itself worthy of the name it bears.

This new code is nice, BUT parts of the text in fluff area is cut off.

I still say taking the text file from HMPro and HMVee is the easier and faster way to go...no need to mess with HTML or BBcode tags and all is there in a nice and easy to read format.

I disagree. I think this format is far easier to read. And As you can see. I fixed the fluff issue.

BUT all that aside. How do you like the mech?

Yes I do realize that, but up until he edited it again words in the fluff text were chopped off.

Use what you want...I like the simple cut and past of the Text file and seeing how that works here, I see no need to use anything else.

It's fine...the Highlander is one of those mechs that can be tinkered with and you really can't mess it up.

Uhmm I thought I answered question #2...but I can again...

The mech is nice. The Highlander is one of the few mechs you can tinker with and not really mess it up.

So you did. Sorry.

But again, I have to disagree.

If you take the Highlander. Turn into an Omni with a XL engine. You take away alot and only made another cookie cut pattern front line mech.

Uhmm I thought I answered question #2...but I can again...

The mech is nice. The Highlander is one of the few mechs you can tinker with and not really mess it up.

The Clans already have a 90 ton Omni...so why would they need another???

If it's too slow stick MASC on it...if you need more armor find away around that one. If you need more weapons, you can pick a different mech to pilot...simple easy and shouldn't lead to tons of NEW Omnis...kind of defeats the point of the mech being an Omni if you end up with 4 different 55 ton Omnis or 3 different 90 ton Omnis etc...

Not ever mech needs an Omni version and not every Omni needs a new version of it done up...one would think that the Clans would be out of natural reasources at the rate they are coughing out new omnis. But I guess if you water the fields right you can get new mechs springing up with the summer wheat...
