Ok, the Wizard's Tower in Nashua, NH is sponsoring a gaming convention on July 23-25 at a Holiday Inn there. There is a website up for it right now, www.ogc-con.com, but they do not have the events listed as yet. There are however, 3 battletech games currently registered. 2 free-for-all games and 1 scenario. All 3 are set to play on Saturday, ffa's in the 1st two slots, and scenario in the 3rd. There are other games other than battletech currently registered, but I really am not sure what they are exactly. They should have current events listed pretty soon.

If it was someone else, I would go. As it is not, I will not.
Thanks though.

I'm assuming you mean 'somewhere' else right?

Looking at all the blank dates on the calender I would assume that most people do not know that there is a one here.

For those that might be interested in the 2 FFA's currently scheduled at the Con, I will actually be the one running them and they are not straight FFA's.
The first will be a King of the Mountain FFA set in the 8am-12pm slot on Saturday. Level 2 tech. Customs will be allowed, but no jumpjets or Clan tech.
The second is called Tremors and will be in the 1pm-5pm slot on Saturday. Level 2 tech, Customs will be allowed, but no Clan tech or Assault mechs.
Units can be provided in both games for those that do not have one. I also might add that, it might help to bring multiple copies of your mech or/and an eraser as well
Both games have a couple special 'quarks' to them as well.
The 3rd game will be the Clan scenario "Battle of Daemon Beach" which is depected in the "Jade Falcon Rising" Novel by Thomas Gressman. This scenario will be running in the 7-11pm slot on Saturday.

That's because, as I've stated before, you folks never bother to read my Site Update posts! If you actually did, you would be very surprised at the amount of stuff that comes out and what you can actually do.
So for those who do, you'll enjoy all the cool stuff. And for those that don't, you can continue using the board as is.

Just an update/reminder for the convention in July. Times have been posted for the events on the website. A 4th CBT game has also been added for play. The first 3 being Saturday, the 4th being on Sunday. Visit the website and check it out.
