Ok, here's a crazy little mech I decided to come up with a while ago. And I might note that the battle mentioned did actually happen. The guy using the Archer was not a happy camper.

==Overview:==
Created by a company named Vector Industries, this 'Mech is designed with but
a single purpose in mind. Burn, burn, burn. Made in part to be a sort of
bigger brother of the Firestarter, it was made for those times when something
more beefier was required.
==Capabilities:==
At almost twice the weight of the smaller FS9, the Infernus carries twice the
protection and still keeps the same ground speed. With its eight flamers, most
anything that it gets near will most certainly be set ablaze. And with its
dual SRM2's, it can make sure any blaze it sets will last a while when it is
carrying a load of inferno missile ammo. Its selection of five extended-range
medium lasers tied to a new model targeting computer, are used to soften up
its target while it is closing, in order to make use of its flamers.
==Battle History:==
In its first major battle, piloted by a man, strangely enough, called
'Matchstick Willie', it found itself faced off with a late model Archer. Using
its speed, Willie charged the mech toward the Archer firing off his lasers
contiunously and a few SRMs packing inferno rounds, while weathering a storm
of LRM missile fire. Upon closing with his target, the INF let go with a
searing blast of heat from all eight of its flamers. Having already been
coated with a hit from the inferno missiles, the Archer's heat soared to the
point of shutting down. Wary of its heat, the Archer pilot tried to make use
of its larger size and simply pound the smaller Infernus with physical
attacks. Willie was easily able to move beyond the Archer's reach with the
Infernus's greater speed, for which he then, making use of the targeting
computer, dug a hole straight through the now red-hot Archer and into it's
vitals, putting the 'Mech out of its misery.
==Variants:==
Due to its specialized use, few variants have been made to this design
currently. Though most normally drop two of the flamers in order to attach
either additional armor, lasers, or heatsinks. Upon a few customer requests,
Triple-Strength-Myomer has also been included within a couple models.
==Notable 'Mechs & MechWarriors:==
Will 'Matchstick Willie' Duncan
Known to most simply by the name, 'Matchstick Willie', he loves anything that
has to do with fire and is also a known pryomanic. The cause of several
arsons, both intentional and accidental, his lancemates are always stuck
trying to get him out of trouble. As good as he is at his job, it's a wonder
his commander still doesn't get rid of him. Willie often charges into battle
blaring the song, 'Fire Water Burn', by an ancient music group called the
Bloodhound Gang, over his external speakers.
==Deployment==
Being a highly specialized design, as well as being fairly new still, it has
not been deployed in any large numbers within any force. However, it has seen
a number of sales to various corporations and mercenary units.
