How do you all see mechs and what not being purchased? I just am curious who sees the mechs being paid for outright? or how many are purchased on lease options?
I am asking because it has always been a concern of mine as to why the price tag on some of these units needs to remain so low. especially when you look at the prices of some of our current line equipment (180 Million for a F-22 and such, 30 million for a Devestator really dosent seem that bad). And are these being bought in groups of say 30+ at a discount? or are they being bought 1 at a time?

Wow. Interesting question that brings up one more: what is the price representing?
For example, a mercenary purchasing a single Mech from House Davion will probably not get the same price as a House Davion unit buying machines from a House Davion supplier.
I would use the following and this is completely pulled from my butt:
House purchasing Unit they built: 75% of cost.
House purchasing Allied House Unit: 100% of cost.
House purchasing Neutral House Unit: 150% of cost
House purchasing Enemy House Unit through 3rd Party: 250% of cost
Mercenary purchasing top of the line individual unit (based upon availability): 300%
Reduce 10% from Cost for every decade it is out of date (round decades up). So a 3025 machine bought in 3050 would get a 30% discount of the base price.
I know thats pretty basic, but try it on for size.

Well, I see the ones on gvmt contracts benig paid over the course of the contract (say they produce 1 every 3 months you'd figure the cost of the mech gets spread over those three months). Now for someone like a merc unit, it would most likely be purchased outright, to avoid entanglements. However sometimes a merc unit will get one on some kinda payment plan I guess. Anyways, just my 2 pennies.
