I've been meaning to do this for a while, but I've kept talking myself out of it for some reason. I've made a few changes to both designs, and am now rereleasing both under one thread.
These two designs are notable for the fact that they are the first two designs that I have ever engineered specifically to work with each other, the second being the collaborative effort between Jymset and myself, the Renault and Montgomery.

==Overview:==
The Sturmgewehr was the first fully automatic, or "assault", rifle
ever made. This suit's Lyran designers thought it particularly
apt, given the suit's mission profile.
The Sturmgewehr Assault Suit is designed to be the shock trooper
of an invasion or major attack. In the early hours of an assault,
Sturmgewehr-equipped squads will attack, overwhelm, and destroy
lightly guarded but important facilities such as ammunition dumps,
C3 centers, and communications relay stations.
==Capabilities:==
The Sturmgewehr is well-equipped for its main objective of
lightning strikes and general destruction. It comes equipped with
a parafoil system for aerial insertions, allowing the suit to be
deployed nearly anywhere, without the need for a deploying craft
to land.
The suit's primary offensive power is in the man-portable particle
cannon mounted on the left arm, with a one-shot, long-range punch
provided by the missile launcher on the back. Anti-personnel
capability is further improved by the various infantry weapons the
suit is capable of carrying.
==Deployment==
The Sturmgewehr is currently deployed with most of the FedCom line
regiments, organized into company-sized "Shock Teams" attached to
the battalion HQ units.

==Overview:==
During the creation of the Sturmgewehr "shock" battle armor, AFFC command
decided that a new craft was needed to deploy the armor, one that could
infiltrate a system's defenses in the hours preceding a planetary attack and
deploy its payload of troopers quietly and accurately.
==Capabilities:==
The Commando Insertion Craft, or CIC, is a marvel of advanced technology and
design methodology.
Forming the entirety of the ship's defense is the new stealth armor system,
which allows the ship's automated control system to detect, baffle, and absorb
incoming sensor energy, giving the ship the ability to appear as small as .1%
of its acutal size when viewed on an enemy sensor screen.
While the craft is in transit, the four squads of armored troops that comprise
a Sturmgewehr Shock Team make final preparations inside the Equipment and
Transport Bay. After the ship enters atmosphere near the target drop zone,
each trooper enters his Armor Suit Deployment Bay. These bays are functionally
similar to a standard airlock, found on almost any space vessel, except that
these bays have blow-out doors for when the craft is over the drop zone. When
the doors blow, the infantryman exits the bay, and begins freefall to the
target.
After the infantry are deployed, the craft returns to the parent ship, as it
wholly lacks any ability to land on a planet surface.
Perhaps the only flaw in the CIC deployment system is the underpowered
automated control system. The craft must either proceed along a predetermined
flight path, or else deactivate its Stealth Armor system to plot a dynamic
course, as the computer lacks the capacity to handle both functions.
==Deployment==
The CIC is deployed along with Sturmgewehr units with only one slight
difference. Where the Sturmgewehr Shock Teams are attached at the Battalion
level, the CICs are attached to the Regiment's transport arm.
