Well I am now living in Killeen Texas couristy of the US Army, the freshist smelling army in the world.

Yes that is right folks, I got transfered. So now I am in a town that well small and the base is this amazing tan color all of which reminds me of the base at Arafjan in Kuwait...

Weather is nicer then Michigan, I may get to wear shorts longer this year then anyother...LOL!

I am hoping to get transfered to Virginia in about 3 years. So one or two more moves and then we will see.

The drive was nice, long but nice.

Cool. I'm on the other side of the base from you then.

FYI - if you're looking to go back to college, don't go to the local Tarleton campus. The people in the admissions department don't know what they're doing.

Cool, right now I need to get settled and find out what all the Army wants from me...

Thanks for the FYI.

As far as local colleges go, you've got Central Texas College (a two-year university that caters to soldiers), Tarleton, and the University of Mary Hardin Baylor (a private Baptist college). Texas A&M has announced that if Tarleton reaches 1,000 full-time students they'll acquire the facility.

Also, while in Killeen look up a place called Book Stan. It's the closest thing we have to a gaming shop. I don't have the address handy, but they should be in the phone book. I'll warn you tho - aside from a few manuals and two map sets they're almost completely out of CBT items.

I think I found the Book Stand as well as Hastings and a used book store.

Killeen seems well kind of dead ended in its' business collection of stores and shops...maybe that is because I am use to bigger cities around military bases for the most part.

If the Book Stand was what I went into, the guy working there didn't have much clue about BT and he said that he didn't know if the owner would order stuff from a dead game. I will try back again to the store, I did like the fact they cared the statues and such of McFarlane stuff.

Thanks for the College info. Right now I need to checkout the Universety of Phoneix down in Austin. But if I can find something else...

This far north of Austin, you won't find too terribly much in the way of BTech stuff aside from some of the novels. There's just not enough people out here to really justify anybody keeping all that much in stock. We don't even have a place to game at anymore.

Personally, I'd recommend that you take a peek at CTC. The classes are pretty cheap and they're also fairly easy - they're only $30 per credit hour if you're a resident in-district. Plus their credits are supposed to transfer to any school here in Texas. They also allow you to take multiple associates at the same time (ask a counselor for details), so you can get a few knocked out in a fairly short time; I got *three* associates' in my three years there.

When you go to take your science courses, I'd recommend the two Geology classes that are offered at the CTC main campus. 66% of the material covered in them is the same, so as long as you pay attention you'll do fine. There's also an optional extra-credit field trip; PM me if you want details.
