Composite structure gives you all of the benefits of endo with none of the bulk, the main draw back is when you take interna hits you double the damage.
reinforced doubles the weight and doubles the internal points IIRC.

You are partilly correct.
Composite: 1/2 weight, no crits. For every point of damage, you mark two points off.
Reinforced: x2 weight, no crits. For every 2pt of damage, you mark of 1 point off UNLESS the damage done is an odd amount of damage and then you mark off 1pt for every 2pts and then 1pt for any 1pt damage left. [ie: SRM would do 1pt, ML 3pts, and LB 10-X Cluster 10pts.]
As you can see, the LB-X Cluster shot is very effective against Hardened Armor and Reinforced Structure because each sub-munition hit is an entirely new hit and therefor does damage as if it was a 2pt hit. Nasty.
