I thought this was a little harsh....I was rather proud of my ASN-2000. (although I do rue having to resort to an XL engine). After all, I always thought the ASN class was basically fast fire support.

Well it isn't a bad concept and it can at least avoid enemy fire (I can't say the same about new Vakyrie - it installs XL engine to get LRM 15 too, but stays 5/8/5). If this mech is going to act in a group of other lights, than it probably would use some more armor instead of a second laser or even TAG. Another possible solution is downgrading the LRM launcher (or loosing the Artemis), but I doubt that yo want to do that
I always perceived the assassin as a backbiter and raider with LRMs that are to sting something that you don't want to get closer to you (and inferno SRMs for killing tankers the heat dissipation of the old mechs).
