Does anyone have the text describing the prototype Supernova? I'm searching for it so I can get on with updating TRO: Legends site, which I now maintain. The mech is listed there, but the link is broken and there is no file for it.

Have you removed the link to that one? Couldn't find it anymore on your site....
I think it was something about the Supernova resembling the King Crab, but I don't know if Matt went for the AC-20 thing.
It was definitely fluff derived.

This is what is printed within the Original TRO 3058 about the Supernova in reference to its 'prototype'. This same fluff is repeated within the new '58 Upgrade.
"Mounting a menacing array of lasers, the Supernova is every bit the big brother of the Black Hawk, which is known as the Nova among the Clans. Though most designers would assume that the Supernova was developed in the mold of its smaller brother, evidence suggests that its design actually predated the Black Hawk. The Supernova's design replaces the autocannon of the King Crab with clusters of large lasers, a choice that stemmed from a shortage of ammunition. Though this design met with little success due to the Crab's integral ferro-fibrous armor, it gave rise to a lighter and leaner design functioning on a similar principle. It is unknown if the Supernova was actually produced at the same time as the Black Hawk or if it was shelved in favor of the Black Hawk OmniMech."
