So, solid machine...but just too slow for me. Sorry House Kurita fans. If it makes you feel better, you can go make fun of all the strange Davion flamer variants of otherwise sane light 'Mechs.

Well, even flamers sometimes work... but yes I'll laugh at flamers until I'll find myself facing them. Then I'll have to hope that I sit in a cockpit of my Dragon on Hoth.

*wonders how I missed seeing this before*

Whoa...anyway, flamers can be alright, depending on the rules. But if you just go standard on them, they are inefficient and short ranged. And I believe I was thinking of the Davion Wasp at this moment since soon before making that review, I had lost one due to the fragility of the Wasp design.

The 3025 Firestarter is still an impressive damage machine considering what I have been able to do with it. That being said, medium lasers would work better, except it would no longer be a Firestarter.

No idea where I am going with this, I guess I just wanted to be sure you knew I had seen it.

Well, I posted it yesterday.

And if you wonder when are the flamers usefull... well... vees and infantry may suffer a little more, but I still think that a flamer should fall into the same category as TAG, BAP, ... special equipment.

Anti-infantry, Urban Enviroments [does full damage to units within buildings], Jungle and Forrest Enviroments, Hot and Dry Enviroments, To scare the piss out of a vehicle crew, and any 3025 battle field if flamers cause heat option is being used. Flamers are a specialty item yes, but they have more application then TAG.

Something like a swiss army knife. It can do a lot of things, but you still need a gun
