Another little flash of inspiration.
I got the idea from watching Black Hawk Down. There's a scene where one soldier pushes his buddy laying next to him down, and then lays his SAW on top of his buddy's back before firing at some enemies. That kinda got the wheels turning and eventually I thought of a pair of Rifleman standing back-to-back, laying into the opposition. THAT got me thinking about how hot those things get, and I remembered the coolant truck from TRO: 3025. And that finally led me here.
