==Overview:==
This unusual mech has been spotted at the NAIS weapons testing facility, which
is unusual due to it officially being manufactured by Archerner Battlemechs.
The main theory is that it might have been designed as a test bed for
experimental weapons and electronics, but an alternate theory has spring up
based upon its seeming physical similarities to the Mackie. 

The Balrog has been confirmed as boasting both a RAC/5 and a Gauss Rifle,
giving it a great deal of firepower. Two medium lasers and a large provide
protection at closer ranges, and an ECM helps to sheild it. Two A-pods serve
to discourage infantry from getting too close, as to twin RL 10s. 

But the heart of this appears to be a C3 Master unit, suggesting that the
Federated Suns intend to expand their personal use of the C3 network. 

==Variants:==
A second version has been seen which has a flamer instead of the head-mounted
medium laser. While this appears to be largely psychological (based on the
name), it also helps the mech defend against infantry.

I would replace the RLs with more RAC ammo, but otherwise the low heat weapons don't need much altering.

Just a few ideas:
I would take another medium laser instead of A-pods or a small pulse laser, if you want anti-personnel firepower. More gauss ammo would also be welcome. I think that ER large laser would also be handy, because this 'Mech will want to stay out of medium range and it can afford brackets (yes, the laser matches the RAC range, but additional long ranged weapon is never lost on C3 master). As an alternative to current main weapons what about RAC/2 and PPC? Damage output is lower, but you get better range.
