Okay after roughly 34 years with glasses I am now partially on my way to not needing them anymore.
I am having Inter-ocular contact lens surgery done. I had the left eye done this past Thursday. I can see out of it at 20/15 which is far batter then before. I am going in for the right eye next Thursday.
Best thing about this is, it's all free...well the US Army is paying for it. And my typing still hasn't improved...
So by the middle of August I will be glasses free!

Cool. How long before you need glasses again? I know with laser surgery your eyes will start to decay again, which is normal. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

This is a bit different, they put a contact over the iris and so it will be a while before I need glasses again. They say I am looking at something like 85 or so before I need glasses again. Which I can deal with.
The only time they used a laser was to make the initial cuts for the contact and then to close the cuts after putting the contacts in. Then again I was on Valium and demoral so it was fun day for me... _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

Okay right eye is now done and I am seeing better then before.
Left eye is 20/15. I could read 3 of the letters on the 10 line of the eye chart and that was very impressive and surprising for the doctor.
Right Eye (one day after surgery) is seeing 20/25. Where as before it was 20/35.
That I call a major improvement.
So the plan and expectation is for my eyes to be:
Left 20/15
Right 20/20
And it looks to be going that way. This is way better without glasses. Things just look brighter and more defined and less "hazy". _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato
