I am now the proud dad of child #2. As of 9:40 on 12-31-07 I now have a baby daughter. (thus the reason for me not posting for the last week.)
Yeah!!! Now the loss of sleep begins. again

I do believe the 11 o'clock news is on FOX around 2am. Just in case you missed it at 11.
And I know that MASH is on around that time as well (or The Golden Girls). Plus lots and lots of movies. I watched Pans Labyrinth from 1-3 one night. I never would've watched it otherwise. Turned out to be a pretty decent movie, in my opinion.

You are assuming that I have extra cash. With an already tight budget, rentals are out of the question. Worst case scenario, I can watch my extrensive VCR/DVD collection.

I just joined Netflix. Well worth the money, but again, it does require some extra cash every month. We get the 3-at-a-time unlimited. And it's something like $16/month. If we use the mail carrier we can go through 6 movies a week. If we utilize the mailboxes, we can get 9/week. WELL worth the money. I spend $16 on 2 movies when I don't bring them back on time.

Hmm... perhaps you can find records of your favourite TV shows on the net (I think that many TV stations keep these acessible) and with TV on the net you can watch Australian or GB television (different time zone, you know... )

Congrats Oafman. Well as the Papa of three and currently up because of one of them it will be years before you sleep normal again. You do not need TV, you have the internet.
As for little girls. To date they are easier then boys. But the sleep thing is so dependent of the nature of the child. Hopefully you have a little girl that loves and respects her daddy and lets him get 4 hours at a crack. Do not be greedy and ask for 6.
AWAD- #2 is much easier than #1

I can second that. Boys are much more difficult in the early years. But as they grow older, I think it shifts and girls become more difficult.
