Posted: 01-Mar-2008 13:37 Post subject: Playing MegaMek (Or Others) Behind a Firewall or PrivNetwork
My ISP does not assign public IPs, thus I've not been able to host any good MegaMek games lately. This is a major problem when the other person is in the same situation (ie. behind a corporate firewall and/or ISP private IP). However, I've found a great free VPN solution that makes this problem go away.
I've currently got 2 Networks going, one for MegaMek play and one for Magic: the Gathering play using Apprentice & NetDraft or Magic Workstation & NetDraft.
Just wanted to drop this out there because on MegaMekNET I've run into a LOT of people who couldn't play each other because of them both being unable to host.
