------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
  Thanks to the emergence of the Chaos March and the militarization of the
Prehiphery, Quikscell saw a new market for light, fast vehicles, especially
ones that could haul infantry or provide fire support. Always eager to make
more money, Quikscell decided to try and have all three at once. The result
was the Lynx.

To begin with, Quikscell took the venerable Scorpion chassis. It was
redesigned to allow for an infantry bay, and the suspension was redone so
that the vehicle would be wheeled instead of tracked. The combination of a
wheeled chassis and a heavier engine nearly doubled the unit's speed, thus
making for the name. The machine gun and autocannon were deleted in place of
twin SRM 4s with a ton of ammo each, the logic being that standard SRMs are
tank and battle armor killers while Inferno rounds can be used against
infantry.

Only time will tell if Quikscell's idea will work.

==Variants:==
Due to the fairly modular nature of the turrets, the Lynx has a number of
variants.

The most common is to trade out the two SRM 4 launchers for twin LRM 5 racks.
This allows the vehicle to function as a mobile fire-support unit or
minelayer.

The second most common is a half-and-half split wherein only one SRM is
removed in favor of an LRM rack. This allows the unit to engage at all ranges.
