I was watching the Heavy Gear animated series on Youtube [found in its animated shows category] and got to thinking about the BT animated series.
How many here would like to see a second season or a new series? _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

I would but it would have to be either similar to the current CLONE WARS cartoon in scope and style and have the full support of the company and be promoted as something positive for the game, the story line would need to be entertaining and interesting, less silly things like mech pilots running around in aerospace fighters etc...keep things as there are truly in the BT universe. Keep it moving forward and yet give it background to grow with.
Decent voice actor would be needed and a decent set of producers and designers would also be needed. I would watch it, but if it was done up like the original BT cartoon, I would not even waste my time with it. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

I agree with Karagin. It would have to be done right. But yeah I would like to see a BT series that starts at the Clan invasion. I think Clan invasion because it would make for the best intro into the series. I would like to see a different style for the series in terms of animation, (I really like the new Clone wars cartoons but want a different style for BT).
As far as Voice actors go, there are so many good ones out there that that shouldn't be to hard. I think that the main problems with the VA and the character not being liked starts at the character design. I certainly couldn't see the voice of Pinky coming out of the Brains mouth or vice versa. But that is the the Voice director's and animation departments job, making sure they are right.
I would actually like to see it done by DC, most of the cartoons they have come out have been pretty darn amazing. I highly recommend both the Wonder woman and Green Lantern movies, not perfect but, but 2 of the better movies that I have seen in a long time. I also think that the style would work very well in the BT universe.
And Vagabond THANK YOU! No mention of LA. I have gotten so tired of everyone wanting to turn great animated series (or hell anything for that matter) into live action movies that its getting depressing. The Last Airbender, I dont know what others think but to me it looks like its going to butcher a wonderful cartoon series. I hope I am wron but I have a feeling that its going to be really bad.
I just have never understood the anti animation sentiment. _________________ Stinger If it's "creepy" to use the Internet, military satellites, and robot aircraft to find a house full of gorgeous young models so I can drop in on them unexpected, then FINE, I'm "creepy". Howard Wolowitz. BBT.

I would love to see a BT movie done using the techniques used in Avatar but not a series. A movie series, but not a TV series. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

While that would be awesome, the cost would be the killer and given how frugal TPTB are with their money, hell they do not do advertisements for the game, I don't expect them to be willing to risk the amount of money needed to do something like was done with Avatar. Much like the often rumored RIFTS movie, the ideas shown in BT would need lots of CGI to pull it off and not look phony. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

Yup.
We all saw what happened to the Dragonlance movie that came out here recently.

Animated Series Recquirements (for me):
- NOT a sequel, perquel or whatever of the series before.
- Hand drawing / B&W would be preferred. 3D animation would have to be really good. Quality and style!
- Succession Wars, hold on to the original flavour.
- Good Story, quite unlike the old series.
- 'Mechs had better NOT looked like aimated tincans (with all tose wonky sounds associated with that of course).
- Please avoid experimental /*Q@! like EI. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!
