Along with the 'Mechs of the Clans, I am also redoing their aerospace fighters. Since there are only nineteen in general service, I am putting them in this single thread. Enjoy!

==Overview:==
The 25-ton Bashkir is Clan Cloud Cobras most recent contribution to the Clan
aerospace forces. This light fighter was designed for recon and is woefully
ill-equipped to engage other Clan fighters. However, it is fitted with an
Active Probe and has the highest thrust of any ASF in Clan service, surpassing
even the SLDF Swift. While the armament is considered extremely light by
Clan standards, both the Inner Sphere powers and the Star League would be
impressed.
==Capabilities:==
The Bashkir uses a 300-rate extra-light fusion engine that allows this fighter
to accelerate at 7-g's of safe thrust and 10.5-g's under maximum power. Three
and a half tons of ferro-aluminum armor plating provide light protection, but
it is roughly comparable to many other light interceptors. At 25-tons in
mass, the Bashkir is able to carry external loads on five seperate hardpoints,
albeit at a reduction in thrust to 6.5-g's safe and 10-g's maximum, making the
design an extremely capable fighter-bomber.
Fuel stores are rated an ample five tons, and on long-duration recon flights
additional fuel is normally carried on four of the hardpoints (and a camera
pod on the fifth). The design includes an Active Probe constructed into the
structure of the fighter, improving sensor reach and resolution dramatically.
Armament of the Bashkir consists of three extended-range medium lasers (nose
and both wings). The heat generated by these weapons is easily handled by the
ten double-strength heat sinks.
==Variants:==
A niche design, most Clans do not believe that it is worth the time or effort
to modify this extremely fast and lightly-armored aerospace fighter.
==Deployment==
While in limited service with every Clan, the Commanche is common in none, not
even the Cloud Cobras. Reserved exclusively for recon duties (or high-speed
interceptions that absolutely require the full thrust of this fighter), it is
a rare Star that possesses more than a single Point of Commanches.

==Overview:==
The Comanche is the lightest Clan Aerospace Fighter in general service.
Originally designed and developed by the Snow Ravens, it is now in production
by the Jade Falcons, the Cloud Cobras, the Nova Cats, and Clan Wolf, in
addition to the Ravens. Although only lightly armored, the Comanche is fast
and reasonably well armed.
==Capabilities:==
Twenty-five tons in mass, the Comanche uses a 250-rate extra-light fusion
engine to acheive a safe thrust of 6-g's and a maximum acceleration of 9-g's.
Like the Bashkir, the Commanche can carry external loads on five hardpoints,
reducing the maximum acceleration to 5.5-g's and 8.5-g's.
Four and a half tons of ferro-aluminum provide good, if not exceptional armor
protection to the design. Clan Snow Raven scientists provided the Comanche
with five tons of fuel giving it ample legs for most sorties.
Armament consists of a nose-mounted ER Large Laser augmented by a pair of ER
Medium Lasers placed in the wing roots. This selection of weapons provides an
exceptional punch and range not normally seen on a light aerospace fighter.
With just ten double strength heat sinks, slight excess overheat production is
produced on an alpha-strike, but the load is manageable by experienced pilots.
==Variants:==
The Nova Cats field a variant model that mounts three ER Medium Lasers (nose
and both wings) and four ER Small Lasers (two in the nose and one in each
wing). An eleventh double-heat sink is also carried by the Mod NC.
==Deployment==
The Comanche sees service in every Clan as a light strike aerofighter,
although it is normally paired up to escort heavier and slower fighters. This
allows the Comanche to use its maneuverability and agility to protect
heavy-weight units that are simply incapable of evading interceptors.

==Overview:==
The 30-ton Vandal was designed by Clan Steel Viper in an effort to dethrone
the Comanche as the standard light Clan aerospace fighter, after having been
denied production rights for the Comanche in numerous batchells. Ironically,
the Ravens were the first Clan who fought a trial for Steel Vipers new
super-fighter and won! Hard on the heels of that defeat, a small force of
Goliath Scorpions also won production rights, infuriating the Steel Viper
Khan.
==Capabilities:==
The Vandal masses 30-tons and uses a 270-rate extra-light fusion engine for an
acceleration profile of 5.5-g's safe thrust and 8.5-g's maximum acceleration.
Seven and a half tons of ferro-aluminum armor plating provide nearly unheard
of armor protection to a light fighter.
The Viper scientists fitted their new Vandal with a five-ton fuel tank in
order to provide enough fuel tankage for most missions.
Armament consists of a nose-mounted ER Large Laser and a pair of ER Medium
Lasers divided among the wings. Although this only matches the lighter and
faster Comanche's armament, the Viper scientists believed that the heavier
armor protection and better heat dissipation would easily make up for the lack
of difference in firepower.
==Variants:==
The Goliath Scorpions Mod GS removes the ER Large Laser and concentrates the
twin ER Mediums in the nose. Six ER Small Lasers have been added to the wings
(three per wing) and two more fitted to the tail to fire astern. This variant
is a deadly in-fighter and has become the Scorpion ASF of choice in Trials.
==Deployment==
Mostly seen in Raven, Scorpion, and Viper aerospace toumens, the Vandal is
encountered in limited numbers among other Clans. The Scorpions have provided
several examples to their Cobra and Wolf allies in exchange for resources,
while the Ravens occassionaly trade or sell Vandals to other Warden Clans.
The failure of the Steel Vipers to do the same to the Crusaders may soon
result in either the Adders or Falcons (or perhaps both) fighting a batchell
for the right to construct their own.

==Overview:==
Designed by Clan Wolf, the 35-ton Avar is the Wolves light fighter of choice.
It is optimized for engagements at long-range, forgoing the close-in
dogfighting style of many light aerospace fighters for overpowering their
opponents outside of their own engagement envelopes.
The Avar is currently manufactured by the Diamond Sharks, Ice Hellions, Smoke
Jaguars, and Wolves.
==Capabilities:==
The Avar uses a 280-rate extra-light fusion engine to provide 5-g's of safe
thrust and 7.5-g's of acceleration under maximum power. Six tons of
ferro-aluminum armor provide less protection than the lighter Vandal, but the
increased firepower makes up for this.
The primary weapon is a nose-mounted ER Large Laser. This is supported by a
pair of wing-mounted LRM-10 missile launchers with Artemis IV, fed from two
tons of missile ammunition, for24 total shots. The design features only the
ten standard double-strength heat sinks, but this is sufficient to cover the
generated heat of the design. However, the lack of rear firing weapons and
slightly lower acceleration than most traditional light aerospace fighters
make the design somewhat vulnerable.
==Variants:==
The Ice Hellion's field a variant of their own, the Mod IH, that removes the
LRM launchers and fits four SRM-6s to the wings (two in each wing). Two tons
of ammunition provide seven complete salvoes of the short-range racks.
Finally, a pair of ER Small Lasers was installed in the tail to provide some
protection against fighters on the Avar's six. Excess heat can be problem
with the Mod IH, but the design is able to fire the nose laser and one wing's
missile launchers without generating any overheat.
==Deployment==
The Avar is primarily used in the role of an interceptor or strike fighter; it
was never intended to serve as a dog-fighter. Clans that employ this fighter
normally equip only one or two points in a Star with Avars, using faster
fighters to provide cover.

==Overview:==
Originally developed by Clan Star Adder, the Batu is now in service today with
every Clan and produced by the Coyotes, Ghost Bears, and Hell's Horses, in
addition to the Adder production facilities. At the time that the Batu was
developed, Star Adder Warriors worried that too much emphasis was being placed
on speed over firepower and armor protection. Hence, when they designed
their new Light Aerospace Fighter, it massed 40-tons and was capable of
slightly less acceleration than those of other Clans, but carried an
unprecedented amount of firepower (for a Light Fighter) as well as heavy armor
plating.
==Capabilities:==
The 40-ton Batu uses a 280-rate extra-light fusion engine that propells it at
4.5-g's of safe thrust and 7-g's of maximum acceleration. The design features
eight full tons of ferro-aluminum armor plating, providing solid armor for a
light-weight dog-fighter such as this craft. A five ton internal fuel tank
comes standard providing ample reserves for maneuvering.
Star Adder engineers armed this aerospace fighter with a hard-hitting ER PPC
in the nose, two ER Medium Lasers (right wing and left wing), and no fewer
than eight ER Small Lasers (two in the nose, two in the right wing, two in the
left wing, and two in tail firing to the rear). Fourteen double-strength heat
sinks allow for the use of the nose weapons and one wing simultaneously.
The Batu has proved a superlatively fighter-bomber and strafer and is able to
carry bombs, rocket pods, or other external loadouts on eight hardpoints.
Even when fully loaded, the Batu is able to acheive 3.5-g's of acceleration
safely (5.5-g's maximum acceleration).
==Variants:==
The Mod C Batu produced by Clan Coyote is quite a different animal. This
model removes all weapons and fixed heat sinks to install three nose mounted
ER Medium Lasers and two LRM missile racks. Each wing carries an LRM-15 with
Artemis IV fire control, fed from a common magazine containing 24 missile
savloes. Two stern mounted ER Small Lasers cover the rear of this missile
bird. Only the ten standard double-strength heat sinks are mounted, but this
is sufficient to fire both LRM launchers or the nose and one wing.
==Deployment==
While only four Clans produce the Batu, this fighter has become one of several
highly sought after top-tier lights. Trials for isorla and trading have
resulted in virtually every Clan having at least a few Batus within their
toumen.
Tactically, the Batu is used as both a fast dog-fighter and a deliverer of
close-air support for ground forces. The Adders and Bears also use this
fighter to escort their heavy fighters on strike missions, fending off enemy
aerospace assets that attempt to intercept.

==Overview:==
The 45-ton Sulla is the standard 'light' aerospace fighter of the Blood
Spirits and Fire Mandrills. Even more so than other Clans, these two wanted
the most powerful light fighter in known space. Accordingly, they used a
powerful 45-ton chassis that is even slower than the Batu. Unable to perform
many traditional light aero-fighter roles, the Sulla is nonetheless well
suited to engage hostile fighters. These fighters have been jealously
guarded by their two owners, and only isolated examples of isorla have made
their way into the other Clans. Which may be because the other Clans believe
that the Sulla sacrifices too much thrust to serve as a light fighter--a
medium, perhaps, but not a light.
==Capabilities:==
At 45-tons, the Sulla uses a 270-rate extra-light fusion engine to obtain an
acceleration of 4-g's safe thrust and 6-g's under emergency maximum thrust.
The fighter is equipped with nine and half tons of ferro-aluminum armor
plating. This Mandrill design features a massive LB-20X autocannon in the
nose, with foru tons of ammunition providing for 15 shots (typically 5 cluster
and 10 slug), along with four ER Medium Lasers (2 in each wing). Two ER Small
Lases are fitted to the stern as tail-guns.
With just 10 double-strength heat sinks, the Sulla pilot must take care in
using all of his weapons, but he has sufficient dissipation to strafe with the
ER Medium Lasers or to fire the nose autocannon and one wing, plus the
tail-guns.
==Variants:==
The Blood Spirits use the Sulla Mod BS which replaces the LB-20X with an Ultra
AC-20 autocannon, while retaining the same three tons of ammunition. Two of
the wing mounted lasers have been removed from the design to increase the heat
sinks by two. This is sufficient to fire all forward weapons at the same
time.
Although capable of inflicting tremendous amounts of concentrated damage,
other Clans are leery of the tendacy of the UAC-20 to jam, which leaves this
45-ton fighter with only two forward firing ER Medium Lasers. In addition,
the fighter possesses half the endurance of the Mod FM Sulla. Currently, the
Blood Spirits are only Clan to field this variant.
==Deployment==
The Blood Spirits use the Sulla exclusively, limiting their capacity to
perform high-speed interceptions of many Clan fighters. But the Fire
Mandrills trade this design and additional resources to other Clans, giving
them a very balanced light aerospace fighter force.
They obtain Vandals from the Goliath Scorpions, Avars from the Wolves, and
Batus from the Ghost Bears, and allow those Clans to field the Sulla as a
support craft.

The Turk was originally designed by Clan Cloud Cobra to serve as their
standard mid-weight aerospace fighter. On the light-side of mediums, the
Turk has an above average speed and carries a decent amount of ferro-aluminum
armor protection. Armament contains a potent mix of long-range weapon
systems that take full advantage of the Clan's ability to fight at extended
ranges.
Today, the Turk is produced by the Cobras, the Diamond Sharks, and the Snow
Ravens, all of whom extensively use the design in their mid-weight aerospace
fighter Stars.
==Capabilities:==
The 50-ton Turk uses a 250-rate extra-light fusion engine to provide a safe
thrust of 3.5-g's (maximum thrust of 5.5-g's) and features 10.5 tons of
ferro-aluminum armor plating for protection. An exceptional bomber, the Turk
can carry bombs, rocket pods, or other external ordance on ten hardpoints and
still acheive a safe thrust of 2.5-g's and a maximum thrust of 4-g's when
fully loaded.
This fighter features an ER PPC and an ER Medium Laser in the nose, supporting
two LRM-15 racks with Artemis IV divided among the wings (with a total of 24
missile salvoes). Two additional ER Small Lasers protect the rear of the
fighter. Fifteen double-strength heat sinks allow for the full use of all
forward-facing weapons without concern for overheat.
==Variants:==
Clan Snow Raven designed the Turk Mk L Mod SR because they wanted a
medium-weight design with a more balanced approach to weapons; one that could
excel in a dogfight. Their version includes an ER Large Laser, an ER Medium
Laser, and two ER Small Lasers in the nose, two more ER Small Lasers in the
tail, and an LRM-10 launcher with Artemis IV paired with a Streak SRM-4
launcher in each wing. Twenty-four salvoes of long-range missiles and
twenty-five salvoes of short-range missiles are standard.
Fourteen double-strength heat sinks allow for the pilot to use the nose
weapons and one wing, and he may still use the ER Large and LRMs at range.
==Deployment==
With its combination of speed and firepower, the Turk manages to form a solid
portion of the Clan aerospace forces, serving as a multi-mission platform for
several Clans. Thanks the Sharks making this chassis available for trade or
sell, it is also quite common in the toumens of Clans that do not produce it.

==Overview:==
The Zulu was a product of a collaboration between Clans Goliath Scorpion and
Wolf. Needing a new mid-weight Aerospace Fighter, the two Clans joined
together to produce the 55-ton Zulu. Just as fast as the Turk--and carrying
the same amount of armor protection--the Zulu was designed for dog-fighting,
rather than attacks on DropShips or WarShips, a task that both the Scorpions
and the Wolves consider to be a job for heavy fighters.
Still, the Zulu is no slouch at inflicting heavy damage (especially when two
or three Points operate in unison) against more powerful vessels. However,
its combination of short-, medium-, and long-range firepower, high thrust,
heavy armor, and generally handling characteristics make it a dog-fighter par
excellence.
==Capabilities:==
The 55-ton Zulu uses a 275-rate extra-light fusion engine that is capable of
achieving a maximum acceleration of 5.5-g's and carries an internal 5-ton fuel
tank, giving it decent endurance. Ten and a half tons of ferro-aluminum
armor plating provide as much protection a Sulla or a Turk, but it is the
armament that distinguishes the Zulu from its close kin. Four weapons are
set to fire to the rear--two ER Medium Lasers, an ER Small Laser, and an
Anti-Missile Systems with 24 total shots. The Scorpions insisted that the
AMS be fitted to the design and it has proven extremely effective against the
missile heavy armament of many Clan ASF.
Offensively, the design includes an ER PPC in the nose, support by five ER
Medium Lasers (one in the nose and two in each wing). Additionally, seven
more ER Small Lasers are mounted (three above and beside the nose-mounted ER
PPC and two in each wing), enhancing short-range firepower considerably. The
Zulu carries twenty double-strength heat sinks, allowing it to fire all of its
nose the weapons in one wing without any excess heat build-up. Alternatively,
the Zulu can fire the nose PPC and all five ER Mediums on a strafing run for
zero net heat buildup; this allows the Zulu to serve as an impressive
ground-support fighter.
In the role of a strike bomber, the Zulu can carry up to eleven units of
external ordnance, but normally carries just ten in order to prevent an
additional reduction in overall thrust. In the event that an eleventh pod or
bomb is carried, it is normally a fuel tank and is quickly used and then
jettisoned when combat is entered. In support of their toumens on the
ground, the Scorpion and Wolf aerospace pilots will typically carry two Arrow
IV artillery rockets for air-to-surface fire, rely on laser-designation from
ground elements to ensure that there is little collateral damage. A full
Star of Zulus is capable of delivering twenty of these munitions in a single
bombing run.
==Variants:==
Currently, there are no variants of the Zulu aerospace fighter in service.
Rumor suggests that the Adders are planning to build their own variant, but so
far all Zulus in the Adder toumen have been indentified as the Mod GS.
==Deployment==
In 3044, the Steel Vipers and Star Adders both managed to gain production
rights to the Zulu, with the Adders defeating the Scorpions and the Vipers
winning against the Wolves. Since then, this impressive fighter has slowly
begun to spread among the Clans of Kerensky, but it remains most common in the
four Clans that manufacture it.

==Overview:==
Designed by the Ghost Bears, the Visigoth is an older fighter model that has
seen many updates over its lifetime. It is also the most common Clan
medium-weight Aerospace Fighter, being produced by no fewer than eight seperate
Clans: Blood Spirit, Cloud Cobra, Diamond Shark, Ghost Bear, Goliath
Scorpion, Hell's Horses, Snow Raven, and Star Adder.
==Capabilities:==
The 60-ton Visigoth uses a 240-rate extra-fusion engine that provides a safe
thrust of 3-g's and a maximum powered acceleration of 4.5-g's. The design
carries a total of twelve and a half tons of ferro-aluminum armor plating and
has five full tons of internal fuel reserves. External ordnance loading can
be carried a dozen hardpoints, and the Visigoth retains sufficient
acceleration to make orbit from a planetary surface with a maximum external
load, albeit rather sluggishly. Not intended to serve as a bomber, it remains
quite capable in this role, especially if given adeqeute escorts.
The Ghost Bear design team installed an LRM-15 missile launcher with Artemis
IV fire control in the nose, along with a Streak SRM-6 missile launcher.
Standard munitions storage includes 16 salvoes for the LRMs and 15 for the
SRMs. Lasers comprise the remainder of the design with two ER Larges (right
and left wing) and seven ER Mediums (one nose, two in each wing, and two
firing astern in the tail).
Eighteen double strength heat sinks provide sufficient dissipation capacity to
handle the nose weapons and one wing. At longer ranges, the pilot can fire
both ER Large Lasers and the LRM rack and remain under his maximum heat
allowance.
==Variants:==
Despite being one of the oldest aerospace fighters still in production in the
Clan homeworlds, the Visigoth has remained mostly unchanged from the original
Ghost Bear design. There have been many attempts to alter the weapons
loadout, but each has ultimately failed and been cancelled due to the finely
tuned Visigoth design. Consequently, other than a handful of prototypes of
design no longer in production, the Mod GB is the only respresenative of the
Visigoth.
==Deployment==
In service with the Clans for more than century, the Visigoth has become what
many Clansmen believe is the standard of medium-weight designs. Every Clan
deploys the Visigoth in quantity, although, as usual, the largest
concentration remains in those Clans that produce the design.

==Overview:==
The Apache is a rare Clan Aerospace Fighter that was originally designed by
the Fire Mandrills, but also in use by Clan Nova Cat. Although the design is
a moderately effective aero-fighter, critics cite the lack of reach, the lack
of any rear weapons, and the plethora of light, low-damage weapons as its
major design flaws. However, when using Cluster ammunition, the nose-mounted
LB-X autocannons can fill the air-space with immense amounts of flak--making
this a very dangerous fighter to engage within a planetary atmosphere.
Armored units especially fear the Apache and its ability to pick a tank and
utterly destroy it in but a single pass.
==Capabilities:==
Massing 65 tons, the Apache uses a 260-rate extra-light fusion engine for a
safe thrust of 3-g's and a maximum acceleration of 4.5-g's. The design, while
heavier than the Visigoth, actually carries a half ton less armor, with just
twelve tons of ferro-aluminun plating. It does match the older fighter for
fuel storage and carries thirteen hardpoints--one more than the Visigoth.
However, like that Ghost Bear designed ASF, the Apache is incredibly sluggish
and slow with a full bomb-load. But this does not prevent the Mandrills from
using this fighter in just such a fashion.
Offensive armament is impressive, with a pair of massive LB-20X autocannons
fixed forward in the nose of the fighter. Six tons of ammunition provides a
total of 30 shots (typically 10 cluster and 20 slug). These big guns are
backed up by no fewer than eight ER Small Lasers, mounted four in each wing.
Fourteen double-strength heat sinks are installed, allowing the Apache to fire
every weapon system when needed.
==Variants:==
The Nova Cats version of the Apache (Mod NC) removes the twin LB-20X
autocannons and four heat sinks to instead mount four LB-5X autocannons,
sacrificing absolute damage for greater range. Four tons of munitions are
carried, typically 40 shots of cluster and 40 shots of slug. The design
retains the eight ER Small Lasers mounted on the leading edges of the wings
and adds two ER Medium Lasers in the tail to cover the fighter rear.
==Deployment==
While a handful of Apaches have made their way into other Clans, the majority
remain in the Mandrill and Cat toumens. Few other Clans have even bothered
to issue batchalls for the design, but the Smoke Jaguars are very interested
in obtaining the production rights for the Mod FM. Having been defeated
against by the Mandrills, they are now planning to trial against the Cats for
their schematics of that variant, rather than the Mod NC fielded by the Nova
Cats.

==Overview:==
The Solahma Delta is the only Solahma aerospace fighter currently fielded by
the Clans. A mid-weight compromise design, it is not swift enough to
intercept the fastest front-line or second-line interceptors, and not well
armed enough to assault hostile WarShips or other heavily defended targets.
What the Delta is, however, is an inexpensive aerospace fighter that fills a
jack-of-all-trades role in the Clan's Solahma units.
==Capabilities:==
The Delta uses an older 325-rate standard fusion engine to provide this
fighter with 3.5-g's of safe thrust and a maximum acceleration of 5.5-g's.
Five tons of onboard fuel tankage are carried and the design is very well
armored with fifteen and a half tons of ferro-aluminum. The fighter carries
thirteen hardpoints and can mantain a 2-g safe thrust and a 3-g maximum thrust
while fully loaded, making it commonly encountered as a bomber.
Armament consists of a nose mounted ER Large Laser, two nose-mounted ER Medium
Lasers, two more ER Medium Lasers in the tail, and a Streak SRM-6 launcher in
both the right and left wings (with a total of 15 missile salvoes carried
internally). Thirteen double strength heat sinks alleviate most of the heat,
but if both Streaks lock onto target the design will generate some minor
overheat which must then be dissipated.
==Variants:==
The Clans do not waste resources or research & development on Solahma units.
There are no variants on the Delta.
==Deployment==
Used only by Solahma Clusters, the Delta is an inexpensive addition to the
Clan aerospace forces and is found in every Clan toumen.

Clan Smoke Jaguar made a rare show of cooperation in the design and
development of the Jagatai medium-weight Aerospace Fighter. In conjunction
with Clan Jade Falcon, the two Clans managed to debut this high-end medium
just six years ago, in 3046. Almost immediately, however, production rights
to the Jagatai were secured by two unlikely Clans--the Coyotes and Ice
Hellions.
Although the challenge by the Coyotes was to be expected, giving their
preference for large long-range missile batteries, none of the three Clans
involved in the Trials of Possession were expecting the Hellions to suddenly
appear and gain production rights in the process! With their ground toumen
centered around lights and fast medium-weight designs, the Hellion Khans
desired a heavier support Aerospace Fighter--and the new Jagatai seemed to be
exactly what they needed.
It is, perhaps, a bit surprising that both the Coyote and Hellion Trials were
successful, but the internal bickering between the Falcons and Jaguars
selected to defend their rights allowed the two interlopers to defeat each
element in detail--leading both the Falcons and Jaguars to blame each other
for their loss.
Since the Jaguar manufacturing complexes were first to actually field the the
Jagatai, the Grand Council assigned the designation Mod SJ to the Jagatai Mk LXX.
==Capabilities:==
Massing 70 tons, the Jagatai uses a poweful 280-rate extra-light fusion engine
that propels it at a safe acceleration of 3-g's (4.5-g's maximum thrust).
Fourteen tons of ferro-aluminum armor plating give the Jagatai excellent armor
protection, while a five-ton full tank provides sufficient reserves for most
operations. Fourteen hardpoints allows for a substantial external ordance
load, but accleration is reduced to a pitiful 1.5-g's safe and 2.5-g's maximum
at full load.
The energy weapons of this design are concentrated in the nose and tail, with
one ER Large Laser (nose), four ER Medium Lasers (two each nose and tail), and
two ER Small Lasers. Each wing carries an LRM-20 missile launcher with
Artemis IV and a Streak SRM-6 launcher. Twenty-four missiles are carried for
the LRMs while fifteen are supplied for the Streaks.
Eighteen double-strength heat sinks allow for the use of the nose weapons and
one wing simultaneously. Alternatively, the Jagatai can fire all of the nose
weapons except for one ER Small Laser and both LRM-20 launchers.
==Variants:==
Clan Coyote fields the Mod C Jagatai. This version removes all wing mounted
missile launchers to instead mount four LRM-15 launchers with Artemis IV and
forty missile salvoes carried. All other aspects of the design remain the
same. This allows the pilot to fire the nose and one wing, or the ER Large
Laser and all four LRM launchers.
The Ice Hellion variant is the Mod IH. It too removes the wing mounted
missile launchers in favor of adding one additional double heat sink (19 in
total) and mounting a total of six Streak SRM-6 launchers (three per wing)
with a capacity of 60 missile salvoes. With nineteen double heat sinks, the
Jagatai Mod IH can fire all nose weapons and up to three Streaks
simultaneously. With the no-lock, no-fire feature of the Streaks, this was
deemed as adequete. If a fourth Streak successfully locks, the pilot can
remove the twin ER Small Lasers from the targeting circuits and remain
heat-neutral.
==Deployment==
Only a few Jagatai have made their way into the possession of the other Clans,
but among the Coyotes, Hellions, Falcons, and Jaguars, this new design has
rapidly become their go-to mid-weight fighter.
