Overview:
    The Stalker might be the most commonally produced assault mech in the Inner Sphere. However,
    by 3057 many designs had far surpassed the quality of the Stalker in the raw form it had
    been produced for many years.
    
    
    
    A Luthien mech design team was hired to produce a Stalker, so that the leader of a team of
    DEST mechwarriors could have a combat ready ride despite being in an honour guard. This
    variant also became the variant produced on said planet after it worth was proven.
    Originally produced in 3057 as a one off special upgrade in company size for DEST teams, by
    late 3058 it was becoming the only variant in production in Draconis Combine space.
    
    
    
    The hardest and biggest problem with this mech is its deadly heat curve. Special heat
    training courses were instituted for all new mechwarriors transfering over to the Stalker,
    pilots of previous versions and varients know this and are well aware of heat. Next, the
    DCMS was forced to train its best and brightest Stalker pilots to become used to the LRM 5
    firing from just over they're head. This mostly failed and the ton of ammo in the center
    torso is usually loaded with Thunder rounds and is kept permanently loading to the Head
    mounted LRM launcher.

Capabilities:
    This mech was built for slow and steady advances. Its thick armour and top speed of 54
    kilometers, mean it will only draw duty on frontal assaults and stationary defences for the
    most part. Dogged fire fights are where this design truly shines as it needs the battle to
    be hot and heavy where it is to become a death dealer.
    
    
    
    The Stalkers close range firepower is a mere two Streak SRM 4s, a quad of Medium Pulses, and
    a pair of matched ER Mediums in the arms. This is a solid setup and with a pair of the
    Medium Pulses, and the two ER Mediums lasers that can all be flipped to fire back wards it
    is quite hard even in a city to dodge its fire.
    
    
    
    The long range capabilites don't scare anyone, but five LRM 5 racks with ample ammunition
    and a pair of ER Larges will keep most opponents honest. The standard tactic is just to
    swarm foreward with a lance of these mechs as your center point and just don't stop until
    you've captured the city.

Deployment:
    This mech is quickly becoming a favourite of all defending mech batalions around mech
    production facilities in the Draconis Combine space. On the attack its usually paired with
    an Awesome or something of similar long range potential so it can achieve its sweet spot of
    close range combat safely.
    
    
    
    Its not quite fast enough to be in a missile support lance, but in a pinch it can do if the
    battle drifts close enough to it. It also features the same type of launchers that the new
    Crusader and Archer variants carry. Making it easier to keep the Stalker loaded with both
    ammunition and replacement launchers.
