Overview:
Faced with the superior range and firepower of the Clan invaders, the Steiner military
wanted a light, fast 'Mech with superior long-range firepower. Many design firms offered
plans featuring LRM racks and PPC's, but the contract went to Coventry Metal Works.
Their design, tagged the BZK-F3 Hollander, eliminated the heat buildup from PPC's
and the danger of ammo explosion inherent in LRMs by mounting the massive Poland Main Model
A Gauss cannon in the 'Mechs's right torso. This unorthodox design would provide
unprecedented firepower in a light 'Mech, enough to take down other light 'Mechs in one
shot.
Capabilities:
Intended to engage light and medium 'Mechs at extreme range and eliminate them quickly, the
Hollander mounts a single Gauss cannon around which the entire 'Mech is built. The Gauss
cannon provides devastating firepower and range but also poses some inherent design
limitations.
The Gauss cannon is so heavy that the designers had to remove to many components to
get the design to work. This doomed the Hollander to a short production run and limited
field time. Recently the military has begun modifying those Hollanders still mounting Gauss
Rifles to serve as long range support units. Coventry Metal Works has removed the heavy
Gauss and slightly modified the already existent weapon mounts to accept a more cumbersome
Arrow IV artillery launcher. This launcher is linked to a two ton ammo store and allows the
lightly armored and slow moving light over a minute of fire support from the safety of
distance and follow fire support units. This reasonable modification may give new breath to
a unit long seen as doomed.

Not a bad machine I came up with a similar concept with my Balista the ammo is adaquete I think the armour is a tad light though I would go with an XL engine and standard armour you can pile more armour and squeeze a little more speed out of the machine with that comination and I think those two things offset the increased volume of the XL engine.

Its better than average. Its almost the same as my Pferdman of the same weight class and purpose. I actually ran these numbers at one point and I felt jump capacity was more capable than the 5/8.
However, the capability of mounting Arrows on light mechs is most amusing. In all honesty its never going to stand up to a straight fight, but in utility roles its quite good.

This needs more ammo to really do its job well. As is, it needs to have a J-27 following it around everywhere it goes, which kind of defeats the purpose of mounting an Arrow IV on a 'mech in the first place.

It's still dead is something can get to position from where it can return fire, but as carrier of Arrow IV for difficult terrain it's perfect. Technologies used are just sufficient to allow the mech to perform it's duty, so it has everything it needs without wasting resources. This mech shouldn't walk anywhere without protection, but that's pretty obvious, ammo load is a little light, but sufficient. It will serve it's purpose.
