Overview:
Yet another design from the "Iron Palace" meant to operate along side another combat
platform, Rotary Heavy Suppression Platform No. 224 "Phene" is best described as a flying
RAC/5. Devoted to carrying the weapon and its ammunition, Phene is best utilized in mid
range fire support for Battlemechs, or as intended the "Periphas." Almost the entirety of
the airframe is dedicated towards the weapon, recoil management systems, gyroscopic balance
equipment, and ammunition feed bins. All of this squeezed into the same airframe chassis as
the Periphas, some sacrifices were made to accommodate these needed systems, as such, it is
slower than its cavalry brother with its smaller fuel cell. Vibration dampening is in place
for the weapon, but the crew basically sitting on the drive train for the RAC/5 tends to
rattle them when firing. Receiving feedback on this fault, the "Iron Palace" now provides
two mouth guards for the three crew members, free of charge.
