Overview:
The second model designed by the "Dark Forge" to act as part of the "Archon"'s drone warfare
element, Automated Combat Platform Model No. 364 "Black Fire" is a continuation of the
"Black" automata warfare program. Phase 2 of the program had moved to a fire support
platform, seeing success with phase 1's more multipurpose tasking. Still wishing to maintain
a level of flexibility, MMLs comprise the primary armament. With ammunition limited, not
being as well armored as the "Black Mold," and requiring some assistance in target
acquisition, some do not think that the design was worth its expense. However, when
partnered with its peers, its firepower is a welcome and needed addition to fill the range
gap of the other autonomous platforms. But just as the "Black Mold" is uncommon, so is the
Black Fire. Like it's counterparts it is very rarely seen outside of Sovereign Military
Acquisitions operations or factories, and almost always near an "Archon" Battle Command
platform.
