Overview:
    After the near total destruction of the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns, House Davion was
    in need of new mechs to help replenish their forces due to looming threats surrounding the
    weakened Federated Suns.   General Motors stuck a deal Julian Davion to help rebuild the
    AFFS in exchange for territory but also a majority of control of what mechs the Federated
    Suns would field in the future.   The first mech from this deal was a new anti-personnel and
    counter insurgency mech to deal with pockets of Kurita forces holding out in the Dragon?s
    Tongue named the SCM-91, Suburban Commando.

Capabilities:
    Powered by a GM 280XL fusion engine, the Suburban Commando can reach a top speed of 129kph.
    This gives the SCM-91 incredible movement.  The 6 jump jets allows the SCM-91 to leap up to
    180meters to clear any obstacles or rough terrain it may encounter. Using four machine guns
    and two flamers, the SCM-91 can render any foot patrol a non-threat to the mech or any other
    unit in the lance.  Two er medium lasers and a small pulse laser gives the Suburban Commando
    some protection while fleeing bigger mechs with more bite than itself and can be used to
    handle any battle armor or clan elemental it encounters. The use of a XL gyro, endo steel,
    ferrofibus armor, and its XL engine allows for an anti-infantry role to be achieved with
    this many options.

Deployment:
    The initial production runs of the SCM-91 Suburban Commando have been met with similar
    criticism that the UCU-F4 Scarecrow has had since its introduction.  GM did anticipate this
    criticism and marketed the Suburban Commando as a mech to defend and protect the citizens of
    the Federated Suns from the lingering threat of any Kurita forces still within the area
    known as the the Dragon?s Tongue.  The first field trials went uneventful and successful due
    to the experience and knowledge of a design bureau led by GM.  The first SCM-91s will be
    deployed for peacekeeping operations in the Dragon?s Tongue to help liberate any davion
    citizens and soldiers from hostile Kuritans who haven?t returned after the liberation of New
    Avalon.  Some of the new SCM-91s have been assigned to bodyguard First-Prince Julian Davion
    on New Avalon.  As a sign of goodwill and show the First-Prince prestige, these SCM-91s have
    serial numbers of the very first production models that rolled out of the factory.

Variants:
    None at this time.

Notable MechWarriors:
    The first notable mechwarrior of the SCM-91 Suburban Commando was a veteran of the
    liberation of New Avalon named Terrance ?Shepard? Ramsey.  After recapturing the capital of
    the Federated Suns, Ramsey found work with General Motors as test pilot for refits and
    upgrades to GM?s products.  When the SCM-91 program was started, Ramsey was selected as the
    test pilot for the machine. Ramsey provided the General Motors engineers and managers as
    much feed back as possible to iron out any issues that could or should arise.  After the
    trials and test were concluded, Ramsey was brought back into the AFFS as one of the guard
    units for First-Prince Julian Davion as a sign of respect for his service during the New
    Avalon campaign and as the test pilot of the new mech.  In his guard duties with his new
    Suburban Commando, Ramsey earned the call sign ?Shepard? as he was always leading the
    protection and scouting detail on New Avalon.
