Deployment:
    Currently the Ymir "Granddad" is serving in the 3rd Scorpion Seekers after being modernized.
    The internal structure was repaired where needed, and the armor has been upgraded to ferro
    fibrous plate.  The weapons were upgraded to current clan surplus, but still better than
    anything else found outside the Scorpion Touman.  The electronics were repaired and burnt
    out parts replaced, but kept as original along with the engine

Variants:
    An ancient mech by any standard, this particular Ymir was found being used as an agromech on
    Wismar in the former Hanseatic League, during the establishment of the Scorpion Empire.
    Once the mech and pilot were Inducted into the 3rd Scorpion Seekers, the mech was
    technologically upgraded with modern clan weaponry and equipment to survive the modern
    battlefield but still retain is basic design.

Notable MechWarriors:
    Mikail Shellwillow was removing trees near his families farm when a Star from the 3rd
    Scorpion Seekers showed up to establish a presence and inform the populace of the changes
    following the Crusade and incorporation into the Empire.  Mikail not knowing this moved the
    his families ancient machine forward to engage the hostiles so his grandparent and siblings
    could get to cover.  Seeing the machine moving out to meet them Star Captain Michael war
    book identified the ancient Yimir.  It was missing armor and only had the Missile systems
    working, but the bravery of the pilot impressed the entire star.   Deciding such bravery and
    venerable machine deserved a new lease on life the Star Captain broadcast an open channel
    hail and request for a parlay.  then end result was a series of games of skill, pistol
    shooting, knife throwing, and wood chopping, that saw Mikail and "Granddadd" absorbed into
    the 3rd Seekers.  Losing Star Captain Michael dueld for the Scoprions, and won shooting and
    lost the knife throwing, but also won the Wood Chopping test.  for winning his one test and
    therefore losing man nad machin to the clan, Mikail was given 2 modern agromechs for the
    Shellwillow Family Farm.  Himself his Ymir and land provided for a Scorpion Garrison post
    were for the Clan victories.  While some warrior questioned the bargain struck, Mikail, knew
    he would have been killed and the family mech lost, the farm possibly destroyed and his
    family killed in the crossfire.  After hearing the proposed terms and knowing his absence
    would hurt the family, but he bargained for replacement machines to take his mechs place, so
    his siblings could take over, and even increase production.  The land granted for an Empire
    base was on an open plain ideally suited for a new enclave on planet with its own space port
    and away from most of the populace so as not to interfere with their daily lives.  To date
    Mechwarrior Mikail, has been an effective warrior and a force multiplier in "Granddad".
