Overview:
In response to orders from General Aleksandr Kerensky for the production of a new medium
'Mech, Blue Shot Weaponry was awarded a contract in 2765 to build the Starslayer for the
SLDF. However, the numerous delays that plagued Blue Shot throughout the 'Mech's production
run prevented it from being built in great numbers. By the time the bugs had been worked
out, the SLDF was embroiled in the Amaris Civil War, and more Starslayers ended up in
storage than on front lines. These hidden Starslayers later became a boon to House and
mercenary units that stumbled on them. Recent versions of the Starslayer replace the
standard chassis with endo steel, making the 'Mech both lighter and sturdier.
Capabilities:
Built to be rugged and dependable, the Starslayer was intended for garrison, mop-up, and
recon duties. The designers at Blue Shot used well-established technologies in an effort to
make the Starslayer easy to maintain and to allow the 'Mech to remain in the field for long
periods. A Magna 250 engine makes the Starslayer as fast as most of the SLDF's medium
'Mechs, and jump jets give the Starslayer greater mobility. Ferro-fibrous armor provides the
Starslayer with maximum protection at a reduced weight which, when coupled with an endo
steel frame, allows the 'Mech to carry heavy weapons. Two large lasers give the Starslayer
its heavy firepower, backed up by two medium lasers and a small laser. To discourage enemy
'Mechs from attacking the rear of the Starslayer, the small laser fires into the 'Mech's
rear arc. An SRM-4 missile pack enables the Starslayer to engage in close fighting, and CASE
protects the pilot from ammo explosions.
Variants
Blue Shot Weapons offers a variant of the Starslayer known as the 3D model. The 3D drops
the torso mounted large laser, the SRM-4 with its ammo, and CASE in favor of an
extended-range PPC. The 3D also adds an extra double heat sink and replaces the rear firing
small laser with a medium laser.
Deployment:
Blue Shot has already completed three production runs of the new Starslayer 3C, and most of
these 'Mechs have been deployed with various militia units in the Lyran Alliance. Some have
also been sold to the Magistracy of Canopus and several mercenary units stationed in Lyran
Space.

Good allround battle mech that is only lacking in range like many old Star League designs. Standard engine, full armor and CASEd ammo make this a tough opponent (If an ammo explosion occurs it still keeps both main weapons and all heat sinks). Both large lasers can be used in a full jump without worrying about heat and in a close combat situation a large laser can easily be substituted by the mediums and that SRM again in a full jump and again without heat.

A real city fighter, this mech is relatively cheap (under 5 mil) and can be use for garrison defence on most great house units.
The mech's short range firepower is offset by its great mobility in a city thanks to its JJs plus almost independent of supplies. And of course, the 2 big lasers in your face is enough to cripple most lights and mediums if the shots connect.
An excellent garrison or mercenary mech if fighting in urban areas.

I like this mech for two reasons, one of them is the standard engine. The other happens to be its well rounded and stable weapons load out. Its only realy useful in a city because its long range weaponry is none existant but thats what your lance mates are for.
This mech would do well as part of the protection lance for your missile boats. Since the enemy wants to close with you anyway.
Other uses are city fights because of its good jump and close range weapons set.

I like this mech for city fights, but it doesnt quite have the speed, armor, or weapons for a ranged fight.
Twin large lasers will cripple or kill similar-wight mechs in one shot. The SRMs are good at close range, and compliment, and are complimented by, the medium lasers. I can see the small laser being needed on this mech, especially in the city battles where enemy units can jump in behind you.
The DHS may not be able to handle the heat output generated by alpha strikes. Save em until you can get away with em. Fire discipline is a good skill to have with this mech.
A nice mech for striker, light battle, or city lances.

This is a nice 'mech for some raiding, or a bit o reconnaissance in force. It jumps, it blows things up, it carries double heat sinks. Seems pretty simple to me. Good all-round brawler.
